Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have a piazza or square in Verona, Italy, the island of Chiloe in Chile, and the city of Wernigerode, Germany. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
Second day in Verona. I woke up very early, not out of obligation but because the daylight was already streaming through the window and clearly begging to be enjoyed :) again, a clear sky with a friendly sun, that kind of morning that makes you go out into the street trusting in the plans that the city itself will have for you, as long as you move and go looking for them. We started at Piazza Dante, almost by chance, as we were looking for a place to have coffee, and that's where we found that little square, not very big and thankfully so, also known as Piazza dei Signori, it has a restrained and elegant atmosphere and aspect. As soon as we arrived, I felt that I was in one of those typical Italian spaces full of personality and visually appealing, which compel us to stop, because only then is it possible to absorb so much detail and so much visual and sensory information.

Chiloé Island is one of those places that seem to float outside of time. Located off the southern coast of Chile, south of Puerto Montt, it carries a mysterious, almost unreal atmosphere where nature, sea and human traditions intertwine in a singular harmony. We arrived in Chiloé from the south, by ferry. The first thing that strikes you is the weather. It is never truly stable: a sunbeam pierces the clouds, then fine rain appears without warning, before a light wind brings back the clear sky. This capricious climate shapes the landscape and gives Chiloé its distinctive character. It feels like entering a world of legends, colourful villages, damp forests and silhouettes of boats gliding over an ever-changing sea. And always that characteristic southern light that accompanies the crossing. One immediately understands why so many writers, travellers and anthropologists have been fascinated by this archipelago long isolated from the rest of the country.

Hi friends. Today I want to share another trip I took to a small town in Germany called Wernigerode. It is located in the Harz region. This is also where Brocken, the highest mountain in this part of Germany is located. From where we were standing, we could see it quite clearly. When we arrived, the weather was sunny. But in the early morning the mountain was wrapped in fog. We were able to observe Brocken from Wernigerode Castle.
