Some of you have probably been curiously thinking already about what our team has been up to over the past month, as it has been a bit quiet on our project account.

Hive spirits in total have been down a bit lately - but for us, there is never a reason to stop doing what we love. We keep moving forward, we go on adventures exploring the new, and of course, we improve the project every day.

As you may know, we will be also present with our project at the upcoming Hive Open Days event in Alicante. @ninaeatshere is representing us, talking about what we are doing, and answering questions.

After collecting all of your feedback on our project, on what to improve over the past year at several events and posts, we have spent months of design, weeks of testing, and countless late-night calls with a Discord chat full of "one more thing" messages with our team. - So, finally, here we are, proud to announce this just in time for The Hive Open Days:

Before we start, let's be clear about something: V2 isn't the finish line. It's the foundation we want to build on over the next month, adding more and more of the features you and we all have been waiting for so long already to be implemented.

Everything you'll see today — the landing page, the redesigned interface, the wallet logins, the rebuilt explore feed, the smarter map, the new profile pages — all of it exists the way it does, so we can build the next layers on top of it.

So when you log in today and notice how different everything feels, know this: this is the launchpad. The good stuff is just getting started.

SO WHAT´S NEW?

Landing page

First of all, it was important for us that you have a landing page with an overview, explaining what Worldmappin is and what you can do with it, instead of just landing directly on the map without any background information.

THE MAP — Cleaner, Sharper, Smarter

The map is the heart of Worldmappin. So we gave it the surgery it deserved.

The new filter module is faster, more intuitive, and actually does what you'd expect a filter to do. Filter by tag. Filter by date. Filter by community. Find what you want without fighting the interface.

Filter by Communities

As we said already in our proposal, we want the map to be much more than a travel guide. We want it to be a platform for all communities to meet each other and get in touch.

So we are very happy that the first communities outside of Worldmappin community are now already integrated directly into the map — their content, their HBD-paying shops, their foodie spots, all surfaced on a global view. - You want to find all the places you can pay with HBD on your next trip? It's right there. You want to discover hidden food gems through a curated community lens? Already there. Of course, we also have more integrations on the way.

The Explore page is where the community comes alive.

Hit Explore and you drop straight into a feed of travel stories posted by #WorldMapPin users from every corner of the planet. No algorithm gatekeeping. No sponsored noise. No paid promotion sliding into your feed. Just genuine travel content from our real travelers who actually went there using the map.

Sort it your way:

The start of Gamification is here. More is on the way.

The Leaderboard ranks contributors based on consistency and quality — the people putting in the work to make Worldmappin a real travel resource. Climbing the board takes time, good content, and showing up. That's intentional.

Community Challenges drop regularly to keep things fresh and reward creators willing to push themselves. Travel themes, regional focus, and content prompts. Show up, post your story, get noticed.

This is just the start of what we're planning for the gamification layer. There's a lot more coming.

No passwords. No email. No nonsense.

You hit the login screen, you pick your wallet, and you're in. Your pins are saved. Your travel stats live on the blockchain. Your identity is yours — not ours, not anyone's. That's how it should work.

These are the options for the login:

• HiveSigner — Mobile and web. No extension needed, runs straight in your browser. Perfect when you're on the move.

One of the main points in your feedback was that you missed the opportunity for an easy onboarding. Because many people outside of Hive use the map as info for their own travels, but don´t really know how to join the party yet.

So, as a first step in implementing an easy onboarding from now on, it´s now also super easy to create your account directly on the worldmappin page.

To do that, you just have to hit "Create one for free" and you'll be set up in minutes. A free Hive account, your own keys, your own profile, your travel pins on the blockchain — all of it yours. Forever.

The Community that keeps the project alive

As you know, Worldmappin isn't just software or a platform. It's an ecosystem of travelers, creators, curators, and supporters who keep the project alive every single day.

The community is approaching 18,300 subscribers, with around 210 active creators posting every month. Posts get reviewed and moderated by a multilingual team that actually reads them and makes sure quality stays high - supporting new users in creating great content and banning the spamers or rule-breakers.

The Team is in touch with our users on a daily basis, and we are proud that many of them helped us actively create and improve the Worldmappin V2 with testing and giving feedback.

This isn't a vanity project. What makes this project so special for us is that it's an infrastructure for travelers — a global, blockchain-powered map you can pin your life to, paired with a community (soon many communities) that is not just a platform but has people who actually engage with each other.

El nuevo módulo de filtros es más rápido, más intuitivo y hace exactamente lo que esperas de un filtro. Filtra por etiqueta, por fecha o por comunidad. Encuentra lo que buscas sin complicaciones.

Filtro por Comunidades

Como hemos dicho en nuestra propuesta, queremos que el mapa sea mucho más que una guía de viajes. Queremos que sea una plataforma para que todas las comunidades se reunan y se pongan en contacto.

Estamos muy contentos de que las primeras comunidades fuera de Worldmappin ya estén integradas directamente en el mapa: su contenido, sus tiendas que aceptan HBD, sus lugares gastronómicos, todo visible en una vista global. ¿Quieres encontrar todos los lugares donde puedes pagar con HBD en tu próximo viaje? La página Explore es donde la comunidad cobra vida.

Haz clic en Explore y accederás directamente a un feed de historias de viajes publicadas por usuarios de #WorldMapPin de todos los rincones del planeta. Sin filtros de algoritmos. Sin publicidad engañosa. Sin promoción pagada que se filtre en tu feed. Solo contenido de viajes auténtico de viajeros reales que visitaron esos lugares usando el mapa.

Ordénalo a tu manera:

La Tabla de Clasificación premia a los colaboradores según su constancia y calidad: quienes se esfuerzan por hacer de Worldmappin un recurso de viajes de verdad. Ascender en la clasificación requiere tiempo, buen contenido y participación. Es algo intencional.

Los desafíos de la comunidad se publican regularmente para mantener el interés y premiar a los creadores que se esfuerzan al máximo. Temas de viajes, enfoque regional y sugerencias de contenido. ¡Participa, comparte tu historia y date a conocer!

Esto es solo el comienzo de lo que estamos planeando para la gamificación. ¡Hay mucho más por venir!

Para ello, solo tienes que pulsar "Crear una cuenta gratis" y estarás listo en minutos. Una cuenta gratuita de Hive, tus propias claves, tu propio perfil, tus pins de viaje en la blockchain: todo tuyo. Para siempre.

La Comunidad que mantiene vivo el proyecto

Como saben, Worldmappin no es solo un software o una plataforma. Es un ecosistema de viajeros, creadores, curadores y seguidores que mantienen vivo el proyecto día tras día.

La comunidad se acerca a los 18.300 suscriptores, con alrededor de 210 creadores activos que publican cada mes. Las publicaciones son revisadas y moderadas por un equipo multilingüe que las lee y se asegura de mantener una alta calidad, apoyando a los nuevos usuarios en la creación de contenido de calidad y bloqueando a los spammers o quienes infringen las normas.

El equipo está en contacto diario con nuestros usuarios y nos enorgullece que muchos de ellos nos hayan ayudado activamente a crear y mejorar Worldmappin V2 mediante pruebas y comentarios.

Este no es un proyecto vanidoso.
