After our visit to the famous The Ruins of Bantayan Island, we flew to the next destination we planned to see personally that morning. It is near The Ruins, and just like The Ruins, this one is built on a cliff, hence being known as the Blue House by the Cliff, famous for its admiring blue house beside the road and enchanting water under the cliff. Just like The Ruins, this one was not an official tourist spot, but social media and tourists who flocked here before us made this spot a popular one, which it deserves because of its perfect blue turquoise water and big rock formations that made the shore look like rooms.

We found this spot on TikTok, when my boyfriend was trying to find another destination, and luckily, we found this one, where swimming is perfect and tanning skin is the premium.

This is the blue house of the destination's name. I have wondered why it was called Blue House before we visited, and when I saw this house that is perfectly built, almost looking like one in foreign countries, it all made sense. It is for rent, and upon taking photos of the blue house, I saw people inside, which were obviously the ones who rented the place. Inside the fence is a decent ground with coconut trees, swings, and tables present. I imagined how comfortable it is to live there, with that breeze and aesthetically pleasing place.

In front of this blue house is a cliff that is hidden by these aquamarine trees that sprouted on the rock formation. An old house can also be seen, and I guess this one was a beach rest house but is now abandoned. Between them is a road that separates the two lovely houses, one alive, one old and abandoned; the irony.

My boyfriend was trying his best to look for the entrance or rock stairs to descend to the shore, and it took him 10 minutes to figure it out since there are many trees covering the way.

When we found out where it was, we stumbled upon these rock stairs that lead to the underneath of the cliff. The water was a bit high that we needed to pass through the water and reach the sand without getting our belongings wet. By the time we reached the end of the stairs, it gave us another view of the rock stairs, bordered with many big rocks that made it into a narrow pathway to the water. Touching the texture of the rock made me feel the destination more immersed and experience it a little closer.

The rocks in different sizes create rooms that hold fresh water, and sometimes I would go inside to chill and gain peace. The water is so refreshing here, it is quite different from our town's beach waters. It is also clean, no pollution, no commercialization, just pure nature, and humans enjoying it with respect and fidelity.

This is just a spot on this long stretch of cliff, and on farther beaches there are many things to uncover. I will share some of them in my next blogs. The cliff's walls are majestic, I can't help but look at them, admire the work of nature, that it can hold this big rock formation and not collapse to the water. But I then learned some parts of the cliff collapsed during the 6.9 magnitude earthquake last year.

Here we reached the sand part under the cliff after braving the refreshing water of the Blue House by the Cliff beach. It is a very small corner with very little sand since big rocks occupy the shore the most. But at least, we have this spot where we can put our things and lay down under the sun and get our skin tanned, which we really did have after this travel.

The big rock formations touching the water near the sand were a great help for us. It offered us shade and still we could swim around while in the shade and not get too burned. It is a frame of rocks, and between it is an intriguing stretch of blue waters. We swam there for almost two hours, and when the water got higher and higher, we left since we can't bring our belongings to safety while swimming and we don't know how to float.

Blue House by the Cliff is located near the Tourist Road of Santa Fe. Unlike typical public beaches on the island, this destination provides access to a semi-private beach nestled right underneath a cliff. It is more exclusive, with fewer visitors swimming around and a more peaceful escape. It is a cliff plus a beach and a beach house for rent in the same place.

After swimming, we left the spot and rode back home to eat lunch. We passed by this field that leads to woods. We entered it through this unfinished road but were late to realize we can't turn back because of the road's structure where at the center it has no cement. We were so dumb entering here but it led to a beautiful view and a well. I was laughing to know we were so careless, but at least it was fun. Look how beautiful this place is. It is more windy than the beach but we had to leave since our stomach was growling already.

Moments like this made the trip even more memorable, not just because of the places we visited but because of the unexpected paths we took. Sometimes, the wrong turns lead to the most beautiful views, and in our case, it became one of those stories we will always laugh about whenever we remember our Bantayan escape.

Indeed @x-rain. Thank you for passing by lad. This beach is really great and I enjoyed swimming around it so much given that it is exclusive and no one was there to come swim except us.
