One of the things I've enjoyed the most about Paris is that every day seems to offer something different. Even when I visit a place I've already seen, a change in perspective, a little sunshine, or simply walking down another street makes the experience feel new.
This time, I continued exploring the area around Notre-Dame, spent some time by the Seine, and enjoyed a few quieter corners away from the busiest tourist attractions.

I couldn't leave the Notre-Dame area without taking a few more pictures. This time, I found a spot where I could capture a good part of the cathedral behind me.
The weather was beautiful, with a bright blue sky and sunshine illuminating the historic façade. It was quite different from the cloudy moments I had experienced earlier in Paris.
I really liked how the sunlight highlighted the stonework and the details of the cathedral.

Of course, I also wanted a photograph closer to the entrance.
Standing right in front of Notre-Dame makes you appreciate how enormous the building really is. The sculptures, arches and decorative elements are incredible, especially when you remember that construction began in the 12th century.
There were tourists everywhere, people taking photographs and others simply admiring the architecture.
I was happy to be one of them. π

Sometimes I take several photographs in the same place because I know I probably won't have another opportunity to return anytime soon.
And honestly, I don't mind having a few extra pictures!
Notre-Dame is one of those places that deserves more than a quick visit. After the devastating fire in 2019 and the years of restoration that followed, seeing it standing there was particularly meaningful.

While continuing my walk, I came across this impressive equestrian monument.
Paris has so many sculptures and monuments that sometimes you discover something interesting without even planning to.
I liked the details of the horse, the rider and the figures surrounding them. The greenish color of the bronze also contrasted beautifully with the trees and the blue sky.
One thing I've learned while traveling is that you don't always need to know everything about a monument to appreciate its beauty.
Sometimes stopping to look is enough.

After spending time around Notre-Dame, I continued toward the Seine.
This photograph is one of my favorites from the day because it captures a more relaxed moment.
Behind me, the river flows between the old stone embankments, with beautiful Parisian buildings and a bridge in the distance.
It was a great place to stop for a few minutes, enjoy the weather and take some pictures.

I took another photograph from a slightly different angle.
What I like about walking beside the Seine is that the city feels a little less rushed down here.
Above, Paris continues with its traffic, shops and thousands of people moving around. But beside the water, you can slow down and appreciate the surroundings.
The combination of the river, architecture and sunshine made this part of the walk particularly enjoyable. π

Another part of traveling that I genuinely enjoy is discovering how cities work.
This photograph was taken at a train station, with railway tracks, buildings and public transportation all around.
Paris has an extensive transportation network, and using trains and the metro makes it possible to discover places beyond the famous landmarks.
Not every travel photograph needs to feature a museum or monument. Sometimes an ordinary station is part of the adventure too.

One of the nicest things about exploring beyond central Paris is finding streets that look completely different from the busy tourist areas.
Here, my son stopped for a photograph in front of a beautiful house with a stone-and-brick façade, a dark roof and a bright red entrance.
I really liked the architecture of this neighborhood. The houses have their own character, and the trees and quiet streets create a pleasant atmosphere.
Traveling with my son also makes these moments more special. Years from now, photographs like this will remind us of the little places we discovered together. β€οΈ

And finally, another photograph in front of the same beautiful house.
I had a shopping bag in my hand, the sun was shining, and we were enjoying another day discovering France.
Nothing particularly extraordinary was happening at that moment, but that's exactly why I like this picture.
Not every memory needs to involve a famous attraction. Sometimes it's simply about being somewhere different, walking through unfamiliar streets and enjoying the experience.
Looking back at these photographs, I realize that what I enjoy most about traveling is the combination of everything.
The impressive architecture of Notre-Dame, the peaceful views along the Seine, the experience of using public transportation, and the small residential streets that most tourists probably never visit.
Each place adds something different to the journey.
And sharing these experiences with my son makes them even more valuable.
Paris is much more than the Eiffel Tower and its famous museums. Sometimes the best memories come from simply walking, discovering and enjoying the day.
Another wonderful collection of memories from France. π«π·β€οΈ

seeing the stonework of Notre-Dame lit up by clear blue skies makes the whole place feel totally different than on a cloudy day
Yeah, I got lucky with that. Sure, it's cold, but with a little sunshine, the weather's nice!
