Good day, Hive travellers and the whole @worldmappin team π
Last week, I travelled to Iloilo City. One of the places I went to was the famous Molo Mansion.
Here's a little bit of history about this ancestral house.
This house was built in the 1920s by the Yusay family. One of the children inherited the house and lived there with her husband, former Iloilo governor Timoteo Consing Sr. Which gained its popular name, Yusay-Consing ancestral house. Then one of their children sold the property to SM Group in 2014.
SM Group then put souvenir shops inside, which sell local products and delicacies. There are also several restaurants and coffee shops beside the mansion.
Here are a few photos I took of the Molo Mansion from the outside and some restaurants.

There is a fountain in the middle of the frontyard. The drop-off area is spacious. They have a wide parking area at the back of the mansion.
These are the restaurants beside the Mansion.

Now, let's check what's inside the Mansion.
As I mentioned, SM Group has souvenir shops inside. Here are a few of the items they sell. There were jewelry, clothes, hats, mugs, and other interesting stuff.

The SM Group did a great job maintaining the place and making it such a great attraction. This place isn't just a tourist spot, locals also go here for the food and ambiance. The second floor of the mansion is also used for events. As we were roaming around, the staff were warning us not to go upstairs because of an ongoing wedding photoshoot. You can actually see the couple posing in my first few photos π on the second floor of the house.
We had so much fun taking photos that day.
So sad that I forgot to grab a souvenir for myself or my family π
maybe on my next visit.
Thanks for reading my blog
Have a wonderful day π
