Visita a la Ribera del Manzanares y puente Antonio Guzmán Blanco

Hoy les invito a acompañarme en una nueva aventura por la ciudad de Cumaná, mi recorrido inició en la ribera del río manzanares, en horas de la mañana por la avenida Aristiguieta, tenía varios meses sin pasar por este lugar y me sorprendió ver lo hermoso que está el río y la ribera limpia, con abundante vegetación en la orilla que ofrece una hermosa y espectacular vista de este emblemático río que atraviesa la ciudad en la zona del centro, en sentido norte sur, su trayecto también cubre la parte trasera del parque Guaiquerí, un espacio donde la familia puede disfrutar el contacto con la naturaleza, hacer ejercicio, caminatas o simplemente observar las aves y ardillas que habitualmente corretean en los árboles.
Mientras avanzaba hice una pausa para observar el río, tomar algunas fotografías y me encantó la vista, en el río se realizó el dragado, lo cual es de gran ayuda para la temporada de lluvia que pronto inicia, además esta limpieza ayuda a que el agua corra mejor y sin obstáculo, avanzando hacia la avenida Bermúdez, tomé otra foto donde se observa el puente el río y las mesas ubicadas en la ribera, las cuales generalmente en horas de la mañana y la tarde están ocupadas por ancianos y personas que se dan cita a este lugar para conversar y reunirse.
Luego de mi parada en la ribera, pasé por el puente Antonio Guzmán Blanco, el cual fue recuperado hace varios años y muestra una nueva estructura, aunque su construcción data des muchos años, desde aquí también se observa el río limpio y la vegetación reflejada en el agua.

Today I invite you to join me on a new adventure through the city of Cumaná. My journey began along the banks of the Manzanares River in the morning on Aristiguieta Avenue. It had been several months since I’d been here, and I was surprised to see how beautiful the river is and how clean the banks are, with lush vegetation along the banks offering a beautiful and spectacular view of this iconic river that runs through the city’s downtown area, from north to south. Its course also runs behind Guaiquerí Park, a space where families can enjoy nature, exercise, go for walks, or simply watch the birds and squirrels that usually scamper through the trees.
As I walked along, I paused to look at the river and take some photos, and I loved the view. The river had been dredged, which is a great help for the rainy season that is about to begin; moreover, this cleanup helps the water flow better and without obstruction. As I continued toward Bermúdez Avenue, I took another photo showing the bridge, the river, and the tables along the riverbank, which are usually occupied in the mornings and afternoons by elderly people and others who gather here to chat and socialize.
After my stop on the riverbank, I crossed the Antonio Guzmán Blanco Bridge, which was restored several years ago and features a new structure, although its original construction dates back many years. From here, you can also see the clear river and the vegetation reflected in the water.
Siguiendo el trayecto, me dirigí hacia el parque Guaiquerí por la entrada lateral,en esta área se ve nuevamente el río limpio, la vegetación y la caminería de concreto y rocas que lo separa de la avenida, al entrar al parque pude observar varias plantas que para mí son un poco extrañas por su forma en el tronco y bultos que se observan desde la raíz hasta el tronco, esta zona del parque me gusta mucho porque se puede ver el río de cerca y los árboles con raíces extrañas.
Seguidamente avancé por el sendero del muro de rocas hasta uno de los puentes que se encuentran en el área del río que atraviesa el parque, en la imagen se observan algunos arbustos y parte de la vegetación que bordea el río.
Continuing along the path, I headed towards Guaiquerí Park through the side entrance. In this area, the clean river is visible again, along with the vegetation and the concrete and rock walkway that separates it from the avenue. Upon entering the park, I noticed several plants that I found a bit unusual due to the shape of their trunks and the bulges that extend from the roots to the base. I really like this part of the park because you can see the river up close and the trees with their strange roots.
Next, I walked along the path by the rock wall to one of the bridges located in the area where the river flows through the park. In the image, you can see some bushes and some of the vegetation that lines the river.
Luego de mi caminata por la zona trasera del parque, tomé una de las caminerías que conducen hacia la entrada del parque, allí también tomé varias fotografías donde se observan los grandes árboles, la vegetación en el borde y una vista completa del puente, el agua refleja hermosamente los árboles y tenemos una vista de la avenida Aristeguieta también la caminería de piedra al borde del río.
Mientras iba hacia la entrada del parque me encontré con un árbol que parece injertado, este parque destaca por la abundancia de árboles que posee, hay ornamentales frutales, cactus y otros de gran tamaño como la Ceiba, que son reconocibles por su tronco grueso, raíces externas y ramas frondosas, en la entrada del parque se encuentra un muro formado por dos rocas, cada una de estas tiene como soporte una base cuadrada hecha de concreto, también se observan algunos de los kioscos presentes en este parque, al terminar mi visita me senté cerca de la cancha debajo de grandes árboles para disfrutar la brisa, observar el río y algunas aves.
After my walk through the back of the park, I took one of the paths leading to the park entrance. There, I also took several photos showing the large trees, the vegetation along the edge, and a complete view of the bridge. The water beautifully reflects the trees, and we have a view of Aristeguieta Avenue and the stone walkway along the riverbank.
As I walked toward the park entrance, I came across a tree that looked like it had been grafted. This park is notable for its abundance of trees, including ornamental fruit trees, cacti, and other large trees like the Ceiba, which is recognizable by its thick trunk, exposed roots, and leafy branches. At the park entrance, there's a wall made of two rocks, each supported by a square concrete base. Some of the park's kiosks are also visible. After my visit, I sat near the sports field under the large trees to enjoy the breeze, watch the river, and observe some birds.
