En esta ocasión, los invito a acompañarme a visitar una conocida cancha deportiva local: la "Cancha de la Paz", ubicada en el barrio Brasil. Más allá de ser un espacio para la diversión y el esparcimiento, las instalaciones cuentan con un gimnasio en la planta baja donde las personas pueden realizar diversas actividades físicas adaptadas a sus necesidades; el lugar está equipado con instructores y la maquinaria necesaria para estos entrenamientos.
La zona exterior,en la que centré mi recorrido, destaca por su hermoso diseño y la presencia de diversas plantas ornamentales. La cancha en sí tiene forma semicircular y está delimitada por un cerco perimetral; en la parte frontal hay un jardín, rodeado de plantas de ixora y palmeras. Aunque tenía intención de visitar el gimnasio, se estaban realizando labores de limpieza, lo que hizo imposible el acceso.
This time, I invite you to join me in visiting a well-known local sports court: the "Cancha de la Paz" (Court of Peace) in the Brasil neighborhood. Beyond being a space for fun and recreation, the facility features a ground-floor gym where people can engage in various physical activities tailored to their needs; it is equipped with trainers and the necessary machines for these workouts.
The exterior—where I focused my tour—boasts a beautiful design and various ornamental plants. The court itself is semicircular and enclosed by a perimeter fence; there is a garden at the front, along with Ixora plants and palm trees surrounding the area. Although I intended to visit the gym, cleaning work was underway, making entry impossible.
En su lugar, recorrí los exteriores, admirando el diseño y las escaleras; como se aprecia en la fotografía, estas permiten subir al nivel superior. Ese día en particular se celebraba un evento cultural que incluía una exposición de artesanías. A un costado se encuentran dos escaleras de acceso y dispensadores de agua. En la parte frontal resaltan las hermosas plantas, permitiendo apreciar el diseño, la techumbre y la iluminación. Las puertas verdes conducen al gimnasio y a las oficinas administrativas del recinto. Al pasar al otro lado, se observa otra perspectiva de la escalera que lleva al nivel superior, junto a una puerta blanca con tubería y reja de hierro. En el siguiente costado, un largo pasillo sirve como otro punto de acceso; la foto muestra el camino hacia la cancha y, finalmente, la rampa que sube al nivel superior, la cual cuenta con una barandilla metálica verde y suelo azul, rodeada de diversas plantas. Esta cancha es un punto de encuentro muy popular; además de las actividades deportivas, sirve de escenario para diversos eventos culturales de la comunidad, gracias a su amplitud y a su excelente ubicación para exhibir proyectos creativos. Instead, I toured the outside, admiring the design and the staircases—as seen in the photo, one can use them to reach the upper level. On that particular day, a cultural event featuring an artisan craft exhibition was taking place. On the side, there are two access staircases as well as water dispensers. The beautiful plants stand out at the front, where one can appreciate the design, roof, and lighting fixtures. The green doors lead to the gym and the facility's administrative offices. Moving to the other side, there is another view of the staircase leading to the upper level, along with a white door featuring iron piping and an iron grille. On the next side, a long corridor serves as another access point; the photo shows the walkway leading up to the court and, finally, the ramp to the upper level, which features a green metal railing and a blue floor, surrounded by various plants. This court is a popular hub; in addition to sports activities, it serves as a venue for various community cultural events, thanks to its spacious layout and excellent location for showcasing creative projects. It was my first time visiting the court, and I really liked the design—especially the front section and the semicircular shape of the sides. Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
