Hola, compañeros aventureros y viajeros! Continuando mi visita a la franja costera de Cumaná, capital del estado Sucre y lugar de nacimiento del Gran Mariscal, les comparto mi recorrido por el anfiteatro Marina Plaza. Este se ubica detrás del centro comercial y abarca la zona marítima. También marca el límite entre el anfiteatro Hernán Marín y esta extensa franja costera donde mucha gente se reúne para ver el atardecer. Además, cuenta con muelles para embarcaciones y, como mencioné, un paseo de piedra. Desde aquí, se puede apreciar la península de Araya y el extenso Malecón de la ciudad.

Hello fellow adventurers and travelers! Continuing my visit to the coastal strip of Cumaná, the capital of Sucre state and birthplace of the Grand Marshal, I share with you my tour of the Marina Plaza amphitheater. This is located behind the shopping center and encompasses the maritime zone. It also marks the boundary between the Hernán Marín amphitheater and this extensive coastal strip where many people gather to watch the sunset. It also has docks for boats and, as I mentioned, a walkway made of rocks. From here, you can see the Araya Peninsula and the city's extensive coastal area known as the Malecón.
Tras recorrer el paseo marítimo de roca, encontrarás el telescopio. Desde aquí, podrás observar el mar, la península de Araya y las aves con mayor claridad, sobre todo al atardecer. Muy cerca se encuentra el famoso columpio en forma de corazón, uno de los lugares más populares para tomar fotos.
Es recomendable llegar temprano, ya que mucha gente viene y se toma su tiempo para fotografiarlo. Goza de una excelente ubicación con vistas al mar y a la avenida principal. El columpio es blanco, con un banco de madera en el centro. Al atardecer, luces blancas iluminan la zona que lo rodea. Siguiendo el camino, verás el paseo marítimo de roca, el anfiteatro de la Plaza Marina y el muelle. After the rock walkway that extends along a wide strip of the sea, you'll find the telescope tube. From here, you can observe the sea, the Araya Peninsula, and the birds with greater clarity, especially in the afternoon. Very close by is the famous heart-shaped swing, one of the most popular spots for taking photos.
It's best to arrive early because many people come here and take their time with their pictures. It has an excellent location with views of the sea and the perimeter avenue. The swing is white, with a wooden bench in the center. At dusk, white lights illuminate the area around this striking swing. Continuing along, you'll see the rock walkway, the Marina Plaza amphitheater, and the pier. Then you'll have a complete view of the heart-shaped swing, its base formed by a concrete walkway and a rectangle in the center.
Tras explorar la zona de columpios, me dirigí hacia el final del paseo marítimo. Allí se puede ver una acera, el área de estacionamiento de botes (por así decirlo) y varias farolas. Al final, hay un pequeño edificio que funciona como oficina de navegación. Otra vista muestra el paseo marítimo y el sendero rocoso, junto con una vista espectacular del mar, las nubes y un árbol imponente cerca del muelle.

After exploring the area around the swing set, I headed towards the end of the walkway. There, you can see a sidewalk, the boat parking area (if you will), and several light poles. At the end, there's a small building that serves as a navigation office. Another view shows the walkway and the rock path, along with a spectacular view of the sea, the clouds, and a striking tree located near the pier.
Visiting this area of the city is an excellent opportunity to connect with nature, observe the seascape, and relax. Furthermore, due to its location on the Gulf of Cariaco, the breeze is strong and pleasant in the afternoons, often accompanied by a bit of coolness. I believe Cumaná's location gives it a beautiful coastal area and excellent spaces for relaxation and family recreation.
