Join me as I explore a striking hut currently under construction along the coastal promenade, near the Hernán Marín amphitheater. It had been a while since I visited this area, and these structures immediately caught my eye.
Without wasting any time, I headed over to take a closer look and snap some photos. The hut sits beside the walkway, near the Coast Guard station; it features a triangular entrance made of palm fronds and bamboo, and the ground beneath is grass. Nearby, there are other umbrella-shaped huts—possibly part of a project to beautify the coastline—with a lovely design reminiscent of those found in the Los Bordones area. From this spot, you can see the beautiful blue sea, the Coast Guard station, and the upper section of the Hernán Marín amphitheater set against a clear sky.

Moving along the tour, I headed to the back to get a closer look at the main hut. There are two umbrella-shaped huts on the sides, a triangular one at the entrance, and a larger, bohío-style hut in the center. The walls appear to be made of wood, and I really liked the location—right at the water's edge—offering incredible views.
The side huts definitely resemble large umbrellas, providing shade for visitors to the coastal promenade; they have somewhat flattened tops and a central wooden post supporting the structure, all situated on a strip of grass. Up close, the entrance hut looks beautiful, crafted from numerous branches with an interior bamboo framework. It was a pleasant surprise to see these huts being built along the coast; their unique, eye-catching design adds a tropical beach style to the San Luis area, a location already known for such huts and shelters. Thanks for joining me on this adventure.
