This time, I’m sharing my latest visit to Santa Inés Street and Aristiguieta Avenue. I entered via Sucre Street, and right at the entrance, there is a beautiful mural depicting children fishing by the seashore; this lovely scene reflects the local identity of Cumaná. The girl wears a hibiscus flower in her hair, accompanied by two smiling children beside her. Next, there is an image of singer-songwriter Gualberto Ibarreto on the beach at sunset, featuring a striking palm tree in the foreground.
Moving forward, there is a partial view of Aristiguieta Avenue with Guaique Park in the background; this street stands out for its beautiful, colorful bougainvillea flowers and a string of lights installed during the "City of Murals" inauguration. The next photo shows part of El Alacrán Alley—which is very narrow, by the way—along with those lights; the houses are notable for their large window grilles and tiled roofs. Leaving Santa Inés Street, we find a mural of the poet Andrés Eloy Blanco surrounded by beautiful fuchsia bougainvillea flowers. Then comes one of my favorite photos: the plants adorning Santa Inés Street. The planters are brick-colored with a gray stripe—some are square—and the overall scene is a favorite of mine; the sight of these beautiful plants and their colorful flowers gives the street a cheerful, warm atmosphere. Finally, on Aristiguieta Avenue, there is a mural of a well-known local journalist, featuring his signature catchphrase: "Hijo, hijo."

Leaving Santa Inés Street, we come to Aristigueta Avenue, offering incredible views of Guaiquerí Park and the Manzanares River flowing behind it. Here, we see the Andrés Eloy Blanco mural again, along with a "Welcome to the City" mural featuring a colorful painting by a well-known local artist. Further along, the wall—which stretches from the exit of Santa Inés Street for quite a distance—is adorned with flowers and butterflies, as well as lyrics from a song dedicated to Cumaná, embellished with pink floral designs.
Next, we see a distinctive double-casement window with black iron grilles, followed by a green house featuring typical colonial-style windows—triangular at the top, with a cornice above the grilles and a small ledge for planters. The long wall is painted green, and just ahead is a view of the new mural recently installed there. In recent years, the city has been transformed by beautiful colors and murals adorning its main avenues and streets, highlighting the figures and culture of the Eastern region. I enjoyed this walk along the avenue, where I discovered the new mural and admired the beautiful bougainvillea adorning Santa Inés Street. Thanks for joining me on this adventure.

This photo walk along Calle Santa Inés in the city of Cumaná is stunning. You're an excellent photographer, and I felt like I was walking with you. What struck me most were the murals and their vibrant colors. I think this post shows how a city's beauty doesn't depend solely on its great monuments, but also on the care taken in its public spaces. !PIMP
