Saludos y bendiciones amigos viajeros y aventureros en todo el mundo, en esta ocasión es comparto un recorrido por la avenida perimetral de Cumaná sector el monumento, esta avenida constituye la principal arteria vial en la ciudad ya que la conecta con la carretera nacional hacia Puerto La Cruz y la carretera nacional hacia Carúpano en la Península de Paria, es amplia y muy transitada, en esta importante vía se ubica la conocida cinta costera, en la cual convergen varios espacios donde la familia tiene garantizada la diversión, esparcimiento y el contacto con la naturaleza; para relajarme un poco y combatir el calor que hemos tenido en la ciudad durante estos días, decidí hacer un paseo vespertino por esta avenida inicié en el anfiteatro, que es una de las construcciones más nuevas en el sector, lleva el nombre de Hernán Marín, un reconocido cantante, músico y compositor de Cumaná, el anfiteatro tiene un diseño llamativo, con varias gradas, en el centro cuenta con una plataforma de color azul y una estrella en la parte de arriba, parecida a una brújula, las gradas se ubicas a los lados y son utilizadas para realizar diversas actividades deportivas y recreativas en el horario vespertino.
Además cuenta con un columpio ubicado cerca del mar, es el espacio apropiado para observar el paisaje, disfrutar el aire vespertino y tomar algunas fotografías, también posee varias vías de acceso, que llevan a diferentes puntos de la playa y el anfiteatro, en la entrada se encuentra un mural alusivo al cantante Cumanés, también varias estructuras destacadas de la ciudad; sus canciones más conocidas están vinculadas con la playa y el mar y tomándolas como referencia aparecen en el mural, el mar, aves marinas, botes, algunas flores y el cantante con su instrumento musical.
Greetings and blessings to fellow travelers and adventurers around the world. On this occasion, I share a tour of the Cumaná perimeter avenue, specifically the El Monumento sector. This avenue is the main thoroughfare in the city, connecting it to the national highway towards Puerto La Cruz and the national highway towards Carúpano on the Paria Peninsula. It is wide and heavily trafficked. The well-known coastal strip is located along this important road, offering a variety of spaces where families are guaranteed fun, recreation, and contact with nature. To relax a bit and beat the heat we've been having in the city these past few days, I decided to take an afternoon stroll along this avenue. I started at the amphitheater, one of the newest structures in the area. It's named after Hernán Marín, a renowned singer, musician, and composer from Cumaná. The amphitheater has a striking design, with several tiers of seating. In the center, there's a blue platform topped with a star, resembling a compass. The seating is located along the sides and is used for various sports and recreational activities in the afternoon.
There's also a swing set near the sea, a perfect spot to admire the scenery, enjoy the evening breeze, and take some photos. Several access paths lead to different points along the beach and to the amphitheater. At the entrance, there's a mural dedicated to the singer from Cumaná, as well as several other prominent landmarks of the city. His most well-known songs are linked to the beach and the sea, and taking them as a reference, the sea, seabirds, boats, some flowers and the singer with his musical instrument appear in the mural.
Luego de hacer un paseo por el anfiteatro, me dirigí hacia el monumento el monje y el indio, este se encuentra a varios kilómetros del anfiteatro y en el camino se observa gran parte de la playa y la cinta costera que bordea esta zona de la ciudad, el monumento el monje y el indio es un tributo a los misioneros franciscanos y dominicos que cristianizaron a la población aborigen de la región para posteriormente fundar la ciudad en el año 1515, el monumento es el símbolo de la cristianización de las poblaciones indígenas que habitaban en la zona costera de esta región.
After taking a walk through the amphitheater, I headed towards the Monk and the Indian Monument. This is located several kilometers from the amphitheater, and along the way you can see a large part of the beach and the coastal strip that borders this area of the city. The Monk and the Indian Monument is a tribute to the Franciscan and Dominican missionaries who Christianized the indigenous population of the region and later founded the city in 1515. The monument is a symbol of the Christianization of the indigenous populations that inhabited the coastal area of this region.
A pocos kilómetros del monumento el Monje y el Indio, se ubica un monumento que está relacionado con la celebración de los 500 años de la ciudad, se construyó para rendir homenaje a la primogénita del continente americano, por ser la primera ciudad fundada en tierra firme por los europeos, este monumento es un paseo aeróbico, para el esparcimiento familiar.
Cuenta también con un mirador y un monumento con letras que dice "Yo amo a Cumaná", al lado se encuentra n las esculturas que simbolizan el origen de la vida; es un área amplia donde los niños adultos y mascotas tienen un espacio para distraerse, montar bicicleta y ejercitarse a la orilla de la playa; tiene forma semi ovalada, el piso es de concreto con pintura en diferentes tonos, el mirador cuenta con varios muros de color azul que sirven de soporte para los bancos y también como piletas para sentarse, este bordea el paseo aeróbico, al tiempo que ofrece a los visitantes un espacio para sentarse y admirar la belleza del mar.
Me gusta visitar esta zona porque puedo ver el hermoso paisaje marino, el atardecer y disfrutar la fresca brisa, mi hora preferida para visitarlo es en la tarde por la poca incidencia de los rayos solares y el hermoso paisaje que se forma con el ocaso del sol.
A few kilometers from the Monk and Indian Monument, there is a monument related to the city's 500th anniversary celebration. Built to honor the first city founded on the American continent by Europeans, this monument serves as a walking path for families.
It also features a lookout point and a monument with letters that read "I love Cumaná." Next to it are sculptures symbolizing the origin of life. This spacious area offers children, adults, and pets a place to relax, ride bicycles, and exercise by the beach. The semi-oval shape of the area has a concrete floor painted in various shades. The lookout point features several blue walls that support benches and also serve as seating areas. It borders the walking path, providing visitors with a place to sit and admire the beauty of the sea.
I like visiting this area because I can see the beautiful seascape, the sunset, and enjoy the cool breeze. My favorite time to visit is in the afternoon because of the low incidence of sunlight and the beautiful landscape that forms with the sunset.
