Mi visita matutina a la pista de Skateboard Cumaná, Venezuela

Hoy les comparto una nueva aventura por el centro de la ciudad, en esta ocasión hice una visita a la pista de skateboard que se ubica detrás del parque Ayacucho en la ribera del rÃo Manzanares, este rÃo pasa por todo el centro de la ciudad y su recorrido incluye importantes lugares como el parque GuaiquerÃ, Ayacucho, mercado municipal, entre otros, nunca habÃa visitado esta pista pero mientras caminaba por la orilla del rÃo, vi algunos murales que llamaron mi atención y avancé hacia esa zona, luego de ingresar al parque Ayacucho por la caminerÃa de las palmeras, varios metros hacia atrás se ubica esta llamativa pista, donde se dan cita jóvenes y diferentes grupos para practicar este deporte.
La pista inicia con varios muros y rampas donde los chicos hacen sus exhibiciones, es un deporte que considero extremo y de grandes destrezas, para desplazarse en la patineta por las rampas y tubos, al entrar a la pista se observa un muro de color negro en los bordes y las escaleras con rampas y tubos de hierro donde los chicos hacen sus demostraciones, luego una pared con un mural muy llamativo en el cual está escrito el nombre de Cumana.
La pared está pintada en el fondo con negro, tiene las letras de color azul y varios bancos al frente, estos bancos además de usarlos para sentarse sirven para hacer exhibiciones con las patinetas, el mural se extiende desde el inicio de la pared, que es bastante grande valga decir, hasta el otro extremo, al frente se observan las escaleras una rampa y en la siguiente esquina inicia la nueva pista de skateboard, que me gustó mucho por sus coloridos murales la distribución del espacio y una increÃble vista del rÃo Manzanares.

Today I'm sharing a new adventure in the city center. This time, I visited the skateboard park located behind Ayacucho Park on the banks of the Manzanares River. This river runs through the entire city center, and its course includes important landmarks such as Guaiquerà Park, Ayacucho Park, the municipal market, and others. I had never visited this park before, but while walking along the riverbank, I saw some murals that caught my eye, and I headed towards that area. After entering Ayacucho Park through the palm-lined walkway, a few meters back, you'll find this eye-catching park, where young people and various groups gather to practice this sport.
The skatepark begins with several walls and ramps where the kids perform their tricks. It's a sport I consider extreme and requires great skill to navigate the ramps and pipes on a skateboard. Upon entering the park, you see a black wall along the edges and stairs with ramps and iron pipes where the kids demonstrate their tricks. Then there's a wall with a striking mural that spells out the name Cumaná.
The wall is painted black with blue lettering and several benches in front. These benches, besides being used for sitting, also serve as platforms for skateboarding demonstrations. The mural stretches from the beginning of the wall, which is quite large, to the other end. In front, you can see the stairs and a ramp, and in the next corner, the new skateboard park begins. I really liked it because of its colorful murals, the layout of the space, and an incredible view of the Manzanares River.
Al cruzar el paredón principal se ve el tronco de un árbol y a continuación los murales que decoran la pista, se observan las rampas con tubos en los bordes, el piso es de concreto y permite a los deportistas desplazarse para hacer sus piruetas, se observa también en una vista cerca los detalles de la rampa y los muros donde estos chicos realizan sus exhibiciones y prácticas, están pintadas de color azul, las barandas son de color negro y las rampas principales son totalmente de concreto, están ubicadas en la parte trasera, lo cual facilita el desplazamiento desde lo más alto hasta llegar a las áreas planas, en varias ocasiones he visto estas exhibiciones y por lo que he observado no son nada fácil, requieren entrenamiento disciplina y habilidades para desplazarse en la patineta.
Además de las rampas señaladas, hay varios muros ubicados a los lados donde también se realizan las prácticas, de acuerdo a lo que he visto, cada una de las rampas exige un nivel de preparación, inician desde lo más sencillo hasta llegar a lo complejo y exigente; la rampa tienen diferentes ubicaciones y elevaciones de acuerdo a el nivel de preparación que tengan estos chicos, durante mi recorrido pude ver algunos jóvenes practicando, haciendo demostraciones sencillas y permanecà varios minutos viendo las habilidades y facilidad a mi parecer, con la que estos jóvenes se desplazan y ejecutan diferentes movimientos en la patineta, es impresionante cómo se desplazan y saltan de una rampa a otra, me sorprendió ver chicos bastante jóvenes realizando las prácticas con versatilidad y agilidad.

The concrete floor allows the skaters to move around and perform their tricks. A close-up view reveals details of the ramp and the walls where these kids perform their exhibitions and practice. They are painted blue, the railings are black, and the main ramps are entirely made of concrete. They are located at the back, which facilitates movement from the top to the flat areas. I have seen these exhibitions on several occasions, and from what I've observed, they are not easy at all; they require training, discipline, and skill to move around on a skateboard.
In addition to the ramps mentioned, there are several walls located on the sides where they also practice. From what I've seen, each ramp demands a different level of preparation, starting from the simplest and progressing to the most complex and demanding. The ramps have different locations and elevations according to the level of preparation these kids have. During my visit, I saw some young people practicing, doing simple demonstrations, and I spent several minutes watching the skills and ease with which these young people move and execute different movements on the skateboard. It's impressive how they move and jump from one ramp to another. I was surprised to see quite young kids practicing with versatility and agility.
Tras varios minutos observando a estos jóvenes, me dirigà hacia el paredón lateral donde se ubican unos coloridos, estos muestran algunos lugares conocidos en la ciudad como el castillo San Antonio de la Eminencia, la iglesia Santa Inés y los siguientes son jóvenes practicando ciclismo y skateboard, también hay un mural del sol, el poeta Andrés Eloy Blanco y un chico con su patineta, lleva un casco que es esencial para estas prácticas, ya que los protege de posibles caÃdas, el chico en la bicicleta se mueve velozmente y realiza también una pirueta, los otros murales me parecieron muy atractivos por sus vistosos colores.
Uno de mis preferidos es la chica en la patineta, se está desplazando por la orilla de una rampa, también el mural tiene escrita la palabra Cumaná, las rampas ubicadas en la en la entrada tienen unas letras llamativas y extrañas en relación a las que he visto en la pista, después de observar a los jóvenes practicando, decidà hacer un pequeño recorrido por la orilla del rÃo, ver el paisaje y observar desde lejos a estos chicos realizar las piruetas, fue una gran aventura, conocer las instalaciones de esta pista y ver las prácticas de algunos chicos, gracias por acompañarme en este fascinante recorrido.
After several minutes watching these young people, I headed towards the side wall where some colorful murals are located. These depict some well-known places in the city, such as the San Antonio de la Eminencia Castle and the Santa Inés Church. The following murals show young people practicing cycling and skateboarding. There's also a mural of the sun, the poet Andrés Eloy Blanco, and a boy with his skateboard wearing a helmet, which is essential for these activities as it protects them from falls. The boy on the bicycle is moving quickly and also performing a trick. I found the other murals very attractive because of their vibrant colors.
One of my favorites is the girl on the skateboard, riding along the edge of a ramp. The mural also has the word "Cumaná" written on it. The ramps at the entrance have striking and unusual lettering compared to what I've seen at the skatepark. After watching the young people practicing, I decided to take a short walk along the riverbank, admire the scenery, and watch these kids perform tricks from afar. It was a great adventure to explore the skatepark and see some of the kids practicing. Thank you for joining me on this fascinating journey.
