Mi visita a Tunapuy, municipio Libertador : Montañas y Paisajes de Ensueño[Esp-Eng]
Continuando con mi recorrido por Tunapuy, capital del municipio Libertador, quiero compartir mi visita a las letras gigantes situadas a la entrada de este hermoso pueblo, un lugar que se distingue por su exuberante vegetación, sus impresionantes montañas y sus increíbles paisajes naturales. Estas letras gigantes son de color plateado y el muro que se encuentra detrás luce un hermoso mural que representa un río, diversos árboles y las chozas que en otro tiempo sirvieron de vivienda a los indígenas. Las letras se alzan sobre un muro de hormigón revestido con baldosas en tonos gris, blanco y marrón. Al estar ubicado en la entrada del pueblo, el sitio es fácilmente accesible para cualquiera que visite esta hermosa zona del estado Sucre.
El lugar conforma una pequeña plaza que alberga el mural con las letras gigantes, bancos y un pequeño jardín lleno de flores hermosas y coloridas. El suelo está pavimentado en parte con baldosas de terracota y en parte con senderos de hormigón que conducen a las calles adyacentes. Al observar el mural más de cerca, se aprecian los árboles, las chozas y un sendero que se adentra serpenteando en las montañas. Como mencioné anteriormente, las letras descansan sobre un muro revestido de baldosas que cuenta con una fuente en la parte frontal e iluminación LED en los bordes superior e inferior. En la base del muro, una inscripción reza: "Bienvenidos a Tunapuy, donde el río susurra historias, la tierra abraza con calidez y cada amanecer refleja la paz de nuestro manantial ancestral". Se cree que el nombre "Tunapuy" es de origen indígena, derivado posiblemente del nombre de un cacique de las tribus caribes que habitaron esta parte de la región oriental. Me gustó mucho la combinación de colores claros del muro, ya que resalta maravillosamente frente a la exuberante vegetación verde que lo rodea.
Continuing my tour of Tunapuy, the capital of the Libertador municipality, I’d like to share my visit to the giant letters located at the entrance of this beautiful town—a place distinguished by its lush vegetation, stunning mountains, and incredible natural landscapes. These giant letters are silver, and the wall behind them features a beautiful mural depicting a river, various trees, and the huts that once served as dwellings for the indigenous people. The letters sit atop a concrete wall clad in gray, white, and brown tiles. Situated at the town's entrance, the site is easily accessible to anyone visiting this beautiful area of Sucre state.
The area forms a small plaza featuring the mural with the giant letters, benches, and a small garden filled with beautiful, colorful flowers. The ground is paved partly with terracotta tiles and partly with concrete walkways that lead to the intersecting streets. A closer look at the mural reveals the trees, the huts, and a path winding deep into the mountains. As mentioned earlier, the letters rest on a tiled wall that includes a fountain at the front and LED lights along the top and bottom. At the base of the wall, an inscription reads: "Welcome to Tunapuy, where the river whispers stories, the earth embraces with warmth, and every sunrise reflects the peace of our ancestral spring." The name "Tunapuy" is believed to be of indigenous origin, possibly derived from the name of a cacique (chief) of the Carib tribes that once inhabited this part of the eastern region. I really liked the light color scheme of the wall, as it stands out beautifully against the surrounding lush green vegetation.
Al avanzar unos metros por este acogedor bulevar, se divisa un letrero que identifica la localidad, acompañado por el símbolo de un corazón rojo. Cerca de allí, vuelve a aparecer el muro situado en la parte posterior del bulevar; su cara trasera exhibe un mural que representa la vida de los pueblos indígenas y su relación armoniosa con la naturaleza.
A continuación, di un breve paseo para observar los bancos, algunas viviendas cercanas, la exuberante vegetación y el cielo nublado. Luego, vemos la jardinera: un rectángulo gris lleno de flores conocidas como "Bella a las 11", en tonos naranja, blanco y rojo. Seguidamente, se presenta una vista completa del bulevar que muestra el muro de frente, los bancos, la jardinera y la inscripción en la parte inferior: letras blancas sobre un fondo rectangular negro. Moving a few meters along this welcoming boulevard, one sees a sign identifying the town, accompanied by a red heart symbol. Nearby, the wall situated at the rear of the boulevard comes into view again; the back of this wall features a mural depicting the lives of the indigenous people and their harmonious relationship with nature.
Next, I took a short walk to observe the benches, some nearby homes, the lush vegetation, and a cloudy sky. Then, we see the planter—a gray rectangle filled with "Bella a las 11" flowers in shades of orange, white, and red. Following this is a full view of the boulevard, showing the wall from the front, the benches, the planter, and the inscription at the bottom—white lettering set against a black rectangular background. Moving on, we get a side view showing part of the fountain and the wall behind it, concluding with a full view of the fountain and the lights lining its edge. Although the boulevard is small, its simple design makes it attractive to those passing through this thoroughfare.
