Hoy los invito a acompañarme en una aventura por la calle Santa Inés en la ciudad de Cumaná. Ubicada en el centro histórico, esta calle luce recientemente una serie de impresionantes murales, lo que la convierte en el lugar perfecto para tomar fotos y aprender sobre las figuras y eventos importantes de la ciudad. Para acceder a esta calle, pueden entrar por la calle Sucre, ubicada frente a la Iglesia de Santa Inés, o por la avenida Aristeguieta, que marca el límite entre el Parque Guay Query y esta zona. Cerca de la calle Santa Inés se encuentra una calle emblemática conocida como El Alacrán. La calle Santa Inés es una calle transversal que conecta la calle Sucre con la avenida Aristeguieta. Sus casas presentan un hermoso diseño colonial, grandes ventanales, rejas de hierro forjado, muros altos, techos de tejas y la mayoría cuenta con jardines con Bugambilias. Estas flores añaden un toque hermoso a las coloridas imágenes de las casas en la calle Santa Inés. Entrando desde la calle Sucre, nos encontramos con un mural que alude al chocolate, específicamente al cacao. El cacao ha sido uno de los principales productos de exportación de Venezuela desde la época colonial. Actualmente, gran parte de lo que se produce en el este también se envía a otros países. En la primera imagen, vemos a varios niños jugando en el mar, pescando y disfrutando de la generosidad del mar. Today I invite you to join me on an adventure along Santa Inés Street in the city of Cumaná. Located in the historic center, this street recently boasts a series of striking murals, making it the perfect spot for taking photos and learning about the city's important figures and events. To access this street, you can enter via Sucre Street, located in front of the Santa Inés Church, or Aristeguieta Avenue, which marks the boundary between Guay Query Park and this area. Near Santa Inés Street is an emblematic street known as El Alacrán (The Scorpion). Santa Inés Street is a cross street connecting Sucre Street with Aristeguieta Avenue. Its houses feature a beautiful colonial design, large windows, wrought iron grills, high walls, tiled roofs, and most have gardens with bougainvillea. These flowers add a beautiful touch to the colorful images of the houses on Santa Inés Street. Entering from Sucre Street, we encounter a mural alluding to chocolate, specifically cacao. Cacao has been one of Venezuela's main export products since colonial times. Currently, much of what is produced in the East is also sent to other countries. In the first image, we see several children playing in the sea, fishing, and enjoying the sea's bounty. Next to them is a picturesque painting of the well-known singer Gualberto Ibarreto, carrying his instrument and wearing his characteristic hat. He is depicted on a beautiful beach at sunset. Some birds and elements characteristic of sunsets can be seen. At the entrance to the street, there are several light bulbs, an identification sign, and the variety of bougainvillea that adorn this cross street.
The following images, located on the other side, correspond to a series of butterfly flowers, a view of the Santa Inés church with its old design, and the colorful butterflies frequently used in the attire of the singer and dancer María Rodríguez. I think that this street, in addition to being adorned with very colorful figures, intends to offer the visitor a glimpse into the rich culture of the state of Sucre. The hibiscus flowers we see on these walls were also frequently used by María Rodríguez in her attire; she used to wear flowers and butterfly decorations in her hair.

Then there's an image of Mrs. Diamina, well-known in the city for her colorful makeup. She also sold fresh fish. The painting is complemented by boats at sea, fish, and beautiful red flowers on either side of the walls. This mural is one of the largest I've seen on this street and covers the entire facade of a house. I liked the different shades of blue used in this painting, highlighting the figure of this emblematic lady and the contrast with the flowers on either side.
