Conociendo el puente Gómez Rubio en Cumaná [Esp-Eng]
Hoy comparto mi visita al puente Gómez Rubio, situado en la avenida del mismo nombre, justo donde esta se cruza con la carretera nacional Cumaná-Cumanacoa (conocida como avenida Aristiguieta). Antes de llegar al puente, hay una pequeña plaza adornada con plantas de tonos morados y verdes, así como con las típicas palmeras de la ciudad de Cumaná.
Desde esta pequeña plaza se puede divisar parte de la avenida, el vivero Coco Dorado y las montañas que bordean esta zona de la ciudad. Luego aparece el puente, de diseño sencillo y pintado de amarillo y blanco, que cuenta con un muro central y muros laterales. Mientras caminaba, tomé una fotografía de las escaleras que bajan hacia el río Manzanares (también conocido como la Ribera del Manzanares); este sendero comienza en el puente Gómez Rubio y termina en el puente Raúl Leonis, cerca del parque Ayacucho. En la entrada hay plantas con hermosas flores naranjas. También tomé una foto desde el puente que muestra el río y una de las pasarelas peatonales que conectan el parque Guaiquerí con la avenida Aristeguieta.
El paisaje al otro lado del puente es encantador, con montañas, complejos residenciales y algunas zonas de cultivo. Today I am sharing my visit to the Gómez Rubio Bridge, located on the avenue of the same name where it meets the Cumaná-Cumanacoa national highway (known as Aristiguieta Avenue). Before reaching the bridge, there is a small plaza featuring purple and green plants and the typical palm trees found in the city of Cumaná.
From this small plaza, one can see part of the avenue, the Coco Dorado nursery, and the mountains bordering this area of the city. Then, the bridge comes into view; it has a simple design and is painted yellow and white, with a central wall and walls on either side. As I walked, I took a photo of the stairs leading down to the Manzanares River (also known as the Ribera del Manzanares); this path begins at the Gómez Rubio Bridge and ends at the Raúl Leonis Bridge near Ayacucho Park. At the entrance, there are plants with beautiful orange flowers. I also took a photograph from the bridge showing the river and one of the pedestrian walkways connecting Guaiquerí Park to Aristeguieta Avenue.
The landscape on the other side of the bridge is lovely, featuring mountains, residential complexes, and some cultivated areas. Next, there is a view of the bridge along Gómez Rubio Avenue and some notable structures; located just a few meters from the bridge are the military barracks and the rear side of Guaiquerí Park.
El día de mi visita, un grupo de personas trabajaba en la remodelación de una plaza situada cerca del puente. La vista del río a esa hora es encantadora; se pueden apreciar árboles bordeando ambas orillas bajo un cielo azul. Al igual que el área del parque Guaiquerí, esta zona destaca por su abundante vegetación y sus grandes árboles, como las ceibas.
Era la primera vez que visitaba esta parte de la ciudad y realmente aprecié los árboles, que aportan un aire fresco y agradable a las riberas. Si te gusta caminar en entornos naturales, este sendero es ideal; se extiende a lo largo de varios kilómetros y ofrece la oportunidad de admirar el hermoso paisaje fluvial, los grandes árboles de la orilla y la parte posterior del parque.
El puente registra mucho tráfico; tuve que esperar varios minutos para tomar la fotografía, ya que pasaban vehículos y motocicletas constantemente. La última imagen muestra una vista de la avenida Aristiguieta, el vivero y el inicio del puente al acceder desde dicha avenida. Las nubes en el cielo lucen hermosas, creando un paisaje encantador y pintoresco. On the day of my visit, a group of people were working on renovating a plaza located near the bridge. The view of the river at this time of day is lovely; you can see trees lining both sides against a blue sky. Like the Guaiquerí Park area, this zone stands out for its abundant vegetation and large trees, such as the ceibas.
It was my first time visiting this part of the city, and I really appreciated the trees, which lend a fresh, pleasant feel to the riverbanks. If you enjoy walking in natural settings, this trail is ideal; it stretches for several kilometers, offering the chance to admire beautiful river scenery, the large trees along the bank, and the back of the park.
The bridge sees a lot of traffic; I had to wait several minutes to take the photo because vehicles and motorcycles were constantly passing by. The final photo shows a view of Aristiguieta Avenue, the plant nursery, and the start of the bridge as you enter from that avenue. The clouds in the sky look beautiful, creating a lovely, charming landscape. I really liked the fountain design, the colors, and—without a doubt—the delightful scenery this part of the city offers. It sounds like quite a busy spot with all that traffic on the bridge, but the walk down by the river and those large ceiba trees must make up for the noise.
