Hiking trip to Sinanitsa peak

sinanitsa (22 of 31).jpg

A few days ago I did a very nice hiking trip in Pirin Mountain. Our ultimate goal was to climb the peak of Sinanitsa at 2516m.

Our starting point was the Vihren hut, to which we traveled by car almost all day and arrived at night. The hut was very cozy, clean and had a restaurant with great cuisine.

We were accommodated in the hut, but there is also the option of sleeping in bungalows.

Next came the climb to the Banderishka Gate. The section was rocky - we moved mainly along moraines and rocks.

It was very windy at the gate, so we didn't stay long.

What followed was an extremely pleasant hike through beautiful sections.

Sinanishko Lake has an extraordinary charm and after taking a short break enjoying its beauty, we began the climb to the top.

We started from the left bank of the lake, following the stone pyramids. In places the terrain was quite steep and required increased caution.

We returned to the hut not by the same route but through the Sinaniska Gate. The views we saw from there were amazing.

Travelled almost all day? It’s quite far, but seeing those beautiful views in your photos, I’d say it’s definitely worth the trip, especially having breakfast while enjoying the stunning mountain scenery.

I know it can be exhausting to climb up the mountain, but with the sound of the river, the beautiful views of the surroundings, and the peaceful atmosphere, I’m sure all those tiring walks will be worth it in the end.
