My Amazing Little Adventure Buddy!

My 4 year old daughter always sits with me while I edit photos and videos. Looking at all of the places that I adventure to and telling me how badly she wants to come with me! So I started taking her to some easier to access waterfalls and now if I say that I am going to one. Well there is no way I can go without her lol.

On this rainy and windy day, I planned on hiking to the Devils Punchbowl in Stoney Creek Ontario and without fail. When I told her that, she wanted to come. I was on the fence about her coming because it is a more difficult hike and even more difficult in these weather conditions. Ultimately I decided to bring her and if it got too hard, we could always turn around and I could come back another day.

To my surprise, she had no issues and before we knew it. We were at the base of the falls! (usually there would be photos of the hike but I was helping her lol)

I stood with my camera and watched her traverse the rocks and water. No fear, no hesitation. Just wonderment and excitement!

I am so proud of her! And feel so completely blessed that I can share these adventures with her! As parents we all hope that we can pick which memories become core memories, but of course we cannot. To me if there was ever a great one, this would be it! Going with my dad to face adversity and conquer fears/set backs, with the payoff of soaking in some incredible natural beauty!

She is quickly becoming my little adventure buddy and I could not be happier!
