Entre la niebla y el verde: Mi escape a Cubiro

Hay lugares que se sienten como un respiro profundo, y Cubiro es, sin duda, uno de ellos. Mi travesía comenzó en la Posada Tierra Blanca, el refugio perfecto para el primer día. Desde que llegué, la arquitectura de la posada y el silencio del entorno me confirmaron que este viaje se trataría de desconectar para reconectar. Las primeras fotos que comparto capturan precisamente esa paz: el café caliente por la mañana, la vista desde la ventana y esa sensación de hogar que solo se encuentra en medio de la naturaleza larense.

There are places that feel like a deep breath of fresh air, and Cubiro is, without a doubt, one of them. My journey began at Posada Tierra Blanca, the perfect retreat for the first day. From the moment I arrived, the inn’s architecture and the silence of the surroundings confirmed that this trip would be about disconnecting in order to reconnect. The first photos I’m sharing capture precisely that sense of peace: the hot coffee in the morning, the view from the window, and that feeling of home that can only be found amidst the nature of Lara.

​El segundo día el destino fueron las icónicas Lomas de Cubiro. Caminar por esas colinas verdes, con la neblina rozando la cara, es una experiencia que las fotos apenas logran describir. Es un paisaje que te invita a soltar las preocupaciones y simplemente estar presente. Entre el viento constante y la inmensidad del horizonte, las lomas se convirtieron en el escenario ideal para capturar momentos llenos de libertad y aire puro.

On the second day, we headed to the iconic Lomas de Cubiro. Walking through those green hills, with the mist brushing against your face, is an experience that photos can barely capture. It’s a landscape that invites you to let go of your worries and simply be in the moment. Between the constant breeze and the vastness of the horizon, the hills became the perfect setting for capturing moments filled with freedom and fresh air.

​Este viaje ha sido un recordatorio de lo necesario que es cambiar el asfalto por el pasto de vez en cuando. Cubiro no solo me regaló postales hermosas, sino también la energía renovada que solo la montaña sabe dar. Espero que estas imágenes les transmitan aunque sea un poquito de la serenidad que viví en este rincón de Venezuela.

This trip has been a reminder of how important it is to swap the pavement for the grass every now and then. Cubiro not only treated me to beautiful scenery, but also to the renewed energy that only the mountains can provide. I hope these images convey even a little bit of the serenity I experienced in this corner of Venezuela.
