The first day of the family trip started with a visit to the SkyPoint view tower in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast. Its location in the centre of the Surfer Paradise makes it within walking distance, and provides a 360-degree view of the city.

The view tower's total height is 322 meters, of which the observation deck at 230 meters provides a scenic view above Surfer Paradise. The rest of the height is made for the climbers to do outdoor adventure. It only takes around 40 seconds to reach the observation deck. Moreover, the observation deck has a restaurant that opens from 7:30 am to 9 pm.
Due to the time constraints, we decided to go as early as possible. I had booked the spot in Viator ( a third-party booking platform) with an offer for a day pass. It's recommended to go before sunset to get the day-view and sunset-view as well.
It was jam-packed, and the restaurant was busy. The place was a cozy spot to get a view of the city. The beach with the green sea water and the waves seemed all stuck, making it look like a painting. Oh, I saw the view from the plane as well, with the straight-lined beach. Oh, that was quite a unique view. The restaurant seating space was great, and we decided to skip the food on the spot. But we didn't skip the photographs as the view was worth the ticket.
Key Information:
- The tower was a hospitality centre in itself. The front car park by the side of the road is free, and you could use it if you find a space. Mostly, cars/vehicles parked in the city require tickets.
Thank you for going through my travel stories. See you with the next blog.

"Wow, what an incredible view of Surfers Paradise! Thank you so much for sharing such detailed tips, especially about the parking and the 4.22. weather. It’s really helpful for anyone planning a trip. 77 floors in 40 seconds sounds thrilling!"
Thank you so much. It was a great view indeed.
Gald that you enjoyed the post.
Thank you
I have run past the sky Point many times but have never been to the top, thanks for sharing. I think they have some sort of climb outside as well. I should make a bit of an effort to check it out as well as it so close to us.
It was a good one time do thing for me. Yes, they have climbing facilities as well. We saw groups with harness all ready to go up.
The view was great from the top, def. a one time check.

Those views of Surfers Paradise look absolutely incredible! My family and I went a few years ago and skipped the restaurant too because of the massive crowds. Seeing your gorgeous photos makes me want to plan another big international trip instead of just staying local. Lately, I’ve only been looking at quick domestic getaways for our summer break. I was just browsing https://breeze-airways.pissedconsumer.com/review.html yesterday trying to figure out if their baggage fees were worth the cheap fare for a short family weekend.
