Horseback Riding and Discovering a Magical Town: “Galipan El Guamito”

Greetings, fellow travelers, explorers, and visitors.

Today I’m stopping by to share a new trip—a new place for me and my family: a town nestled in the mountains of La Guaira state. It’s Galipan El Guamito, a unique and magical place where, from its meadows stretching to the horizon, we can gaze upon the majestic Caribbean Sea and the beach—a breathtaking sight of blue that seems to merge with the sky in the distance.

There are several ways to get to Galipan. One is to head up from the coast of La Guaira State by taking private transportation or a jeep (public transportation) that can take you up into the mountains. The other route, which is the one we took to reach Galipan, is that after arriving at Waraira Repano National Park, we took a jeep that drove us down until we reached the town of Galipan El Guamito; it’s about a 5-minute drive downhill at a moderate speed from the highest point of Waraira Repano (formerly Avila).

Hey! I said the ways in are by public and private transport, but keep in mind that hikers manage to walk all the way up from the coast of La Guaira State to Galipan; along the way, we saw some hikers walking, trying to reach Waraira Repano National Park.

In Galipan, we found a divine variety of food: grilled meats, cachapas, fried pork, and more. My wife, my daughter, and I enjoyed a delicious grilled meal, and my daughter had a very tasty cachapa.

After lunch, my beautiful little girl enjoyed some delicious strawberries with cream, a specialty of the town of Galipan. But in addition to its culinary offerings, Galipan has something very special: horseback riding and ATV tours.

In our case, my little girl was very excited to see the horses and managed to fulfill one of her dreams: just like in fairy tales, she too could ride a horse. She did it—at first she was very scared, but in the end she succeeded and enjoyed a horseback ride with me supporting her all the way through the town of Galipan.

At the end of the trip and the horseback ride, we were very happy and decided to buy some souvenirs to share with our families and, of course, take some nice photos even though night was already falling.

These moments are and will remain unforgettable, and I’m delighted to be able to share this lovely adventure with you here, because it was also our first time in this town.

Cabalgando y conociendo un pueblo mágico, "Galipan El Guamito"

Saludos amigos viajeros, exploradores, visitantes.

Hoy paso por aquí a compartir un nuevo viaje, un nuevo lugar para mi y para mi familia un pueblo ubicado en las montañas del estado La Guaira, se trata de Galipan El Guamito, un lugar único y mágico, donde desde sus praderas al horizonte podemos observar el majestuoso mar caribe, la playa, lo hermoso de ver un azul que en el fondo pareciera se conecta con el cielo.

Para llegar a Galipan hay varias vías de entrada, una es subir desde las costas del Estado la Guaira tomando un transporte privado o un jeep (transporte público) que pueda subirte montaña adentro, la otra vía que es la que tomamos para llegar a Galipan es que luego de estar en el Parque Nacional Waraira Repano tomamos un jeep que nos bajó hasta llegar al pueblo Galipan El Guamito, está a unos 5 minutos bajando a una velocidad media desde lo más alto del Waraira Repano (antiguo Avíla)

Ey! dije que las vías de entrada son en transportes publico y privado pero ojo los senderista logran subir caminando saliendo desde las costas del Estado La Guaira hasta llegar a Galipan, en el transcurso logramos ver a unos senderistas caminando intentando llegar hasta el parque nacional Waraira Repano.

En Galipan encontramos una diversidad gastronómica divina, parrillas, cachapas, cochino frito, entre otros, nosotros mi esposa y mi niña nos disfrutamos de una buena parrilla y mi niña de una muy rica cachapa luego del almuerzo mi niña hermosa se comió unas ricas fresas con crema, especialidad del poblado de Galipan, pero además de la oferta gastronómica Galipan tiene algo muy especial y son paseos en caballos y paseos y moto de cuatro ruedas.

En nuestro caso, mi niña muy emocionada vío los caballos y logró cumplir uno de sus sueños que tal como ve en los cuentos de hadas ella también podía cabalgar y así lo logró inicialmente con mucho miedo pero al final lo logró y se disfruto de un paseo en caballo conmigo de soporte por todo lo correspondiente del pueblo de Galipan.

Al final del viaje y de galopar en caballo, estábamos muy felices y decidimos también comprar unos recuerdos para compartir a nuestras familias y claro tomarnos unas lindas fotos a pesar de que ya la noche estaba cayendo.

Estos momentos son y serán inolvidables y me complace poder compartir con ustedes por aquí esta linda aventura, porque ademas era nuestra primera vez en este pueblo.
