Aquiles Nazoa Library: Where curiosity begins and knowledge is gained

Greetings, travelers and explorers!

Today I’m sharing a new adventure, a new place—one of the places my daughter, my beautiful Nat, has been most looking forward to discovering and visiting.

It’s the Aquiles Nazoa Public Library, located in the southwest part of Caracas, Venezuela.

The library is a landmark and an important spot in this part of Caricuao; whenever a visitor comes to Caricuao, the Aquiles Nazoa Library is used as a reference point for locating things. However, honestly, that’s not what’s truly important about this place—what matters is what we can find inside.

Study areas, educational spaces for both young children and university students, a space for recreation and relaxation, as well as a cultural area—a small amphitheater (which I couldn’t take a photo of)—where various cultural organizations hold their events: dance, theater, and music all come together in one place.

We (my daughter and I) had a very important goal.
Believe it or not, I had never been able to read her a story, and she, in turn, had longed and dreamed of me reading her a story—one in particular: Little Red Riding Hood, a traditional tale that every child knows by heart.

My daughter, who has always been so smart, already knew a little bit of the story, but she still really enjoyed the reading.

She got scared when the big bad wolf spoke, but she got excited when Little Red Riding Hood managed to escape the wolf’s clutches. She enjoyed the illustrations in the book and was truly very happy.
For me, it was like a goal achieved, a dream come true—to be in a magical place where, as a child, I used to go to do my research and study, and where today I was sitting with my daughter, reading her a story, and we were happy.

The Aquiles Nazoa Library is named after an acclaimed writer, a man who believed in children, in teaching, and in the idea that education is the foundation for a better country.

I feel proud to have visited this place with my daughter, and it’s a spot I would 100% recommend to any visitor heading to the Caricuao parish in Caracas, Venezuela.

Saludos viajadores y exploradores!

Hoy paso con una nueva aventura, un nuevo lugar, uno de los lugares más esperados por conocer y visitar de parte de mi hija, mi Nat hermosa.

Se trata de la biblioteca pública Aquiles Nazoa ubicada en la zona Sur Oeste de la Ciudad de Caracas en Venezuela.

La biblioteca es un punto de referencia y de importancia en esta zona de Caricuao, cada que un visitante viene a Caricuao un punto de referencia sobre la ubicación de algo se toma de punto de referencia a la Biblioteca Aquiles Nazoa, sin embargo sinceramente esto no es lo realmente importante de este lugar, lo importante es lo que en ella podemos encontrar.

Zonas de estudio, zonas educativas tanto para chicos pequeños como para adultos universitarios, un area para esparcimiento y relajación ademas de una zona cultura un pequeño anfiteatro (Del cual no pude tomar foto) donde diversas organizaciones culturales cumplen sus funciones, danza, teatro, musica todo converge en un solo lugar.

Nosotros (mi hija y yo) teniamos una meta muy importante.
Aunque no lo crean yo nunca le había podido leer un cuento y ella a su vez deseaba y soñaba con que yo le leyera un cuento, uno en especifico incluso que fue La Caperucita Roja un cuento tradicional que todo niño o niña ha conocido y sabe de memoria.

Mi niña tan inteligente que siempre ha sido ya conocía un poco la historia del cuento sin embargo se disfruto muchísimo la narración del mismo

Se asusó cuando el lobo feroz hablaba, pero se emocionaba cuando la caperucita lograba salvarse de las garras del lobo, se disfruto de los dibujos del libro y realmente fue muy feliz.
A su vez para mi fue como una meta cumplida, un sueño realizado, estar en un lugar mágico donde de niño iba para realizar mis investigaciones y donde iba a estudiar y hoy en día estaba junto a mi hija leyéndole un cuento, siendo felices.

La biblioteca Aquiles Nazoa tiene el nombre de un aclamado escritor, una persona que creía en los niños, en la enseñanza, en que la educación es la base para un mejor país.

Me siento orgulloso de haber ido junto a mi hija a este lugar y es un sitio el cual recomendaria al 100% a cualquier visitante que vaya a la parroquia de Caricuao en Caracas, Venezuela.
