Cocalitos Beach, family outing (Eng/Esp)

The state of Sucre has unparalleled tourism potential, with seascapes that are practically picture-perfect. There are so many options for going to the beach here that I recently received an invitation from a former co-worker to go to Marigüitar with my family, a trip of just under an hour by bus that allows you to enjoy a privileged view of several beaches on the outskirts of Cumana.

My wife, daughter, and in-laws accompanied me on this adventure. Once we arrived in Marigüitar, in the municipality of Bolívar, we ended up in Los Cocalitos, where we enjoyed a good cup of coffee to start the day. With my friend's guidance, we arrived at the beach, which is very close to her residence. It was a sunny day, ideal for capturing these moments in some good photographs.

The beach is very beautiful, a paradise, and it was also deserted. I was struck by how close Araya and Manicuare looked, and the mountains were imposing. This view is incredible, out of the ordinary for anyone who enjoys these landscapes and communions with Mother Nature.

My friend brought her granddaughter to play with my daughter. They both stayed on the shore, swimming and looking for seashells in the sand. They found quite a few chipi-chipis, while I went for a dip at a beach I was visiting for the first time. It is undoubtedly a different environment, very different from the beaches of Cumana. It is more intimate, and therefore you can enjoy the moment, away from the noise and bustle of the city.

We spent about four hours on the beach admiring this beauty, which looked more like a painting. My in-laws and the girls had a great time playing in the sand. We returned after noon, and our friend prepared a delicious consommé with chipis-chipis and rice with chicken and crabs, so it was a seafood lunch that made us even happier. Around five in the afternoon, we were back in Cumana, planning our next adventure.

El estado Sucre posee un potencial turístico inigualable, sus paisajes marinos prácticamente son unas postales para enmarcar. Acá existen tantas opciones para ir a la playa que recientemente recibí una invitación de una antigua compañera de trabajo para ir a Marigüitar con mi familia, un viaje de apenas casi una hora en autobús que permite disfrutar de una vista privilegiada por varias playas que se encuentran en las afueras de Cumaná.

Mi esposa, mi hija y mis suegros me acompañaron en esta aventura. Una vez que llegamos a Marigüitar, en el Municipio Bolívar, desembocamos en Los Cocalitos, allí disfrutamos de un buen café para empezar la jornada. Con la orientación de mi amiga llegamos a la playa, la cual queda muy cerca de su residencia. El día era soleado, ideal para capturar estos momentos en unas buenas fotografías.

La playa es muy hermosa, un paraíso, y además estaba solitaria. Me llamó la atención que Araya y Manicuare lucen muy cerca, las montañas se veian imponentes. Esta vista es increíble, fuera de lo común para quien disfrute de estos parajes y comulgue con la madre naturaleza.

Mi amiga llevó a su nieta para que jugara con mi hija, ambas se quedaron bañándose en la orilla y buscando conchas marinas en la arena, encontraron bastante chipi-chipis, en tanto yo me fui a dar un chapuzón en una playa que visitaba por vez primera. Sin duda es otro ambiente, muy distinto al que se presenta en las playas de Cumaná, es más íntimo y, por lo tanto, se disfruta del momento, alejado de todo bullicio que contamina y del ajetreo propio de la ciudad.

Alrededor de unas cuatro horas estuvimos en la playa admirando esta belleza, que más bien parecía una pintura, mis suegros y las niñas disfrutaron mucho jugando en la arena. El retorno fue luego del mediodía, nuestra amiga preparó un gustoso consomé con los chipis-chipis y un arroz con pollo y jaibas, así que fue un almuerzo marinero que nos dejó más contentos todavía. Alrededor de las cinco de la tarde estábamos de vuelta en Cumaná, planificando la siguiente aventura.
