Photo Trip | Czech Republic - A morning walk through a mountain town

Žacléř is a small mountain town (about 3,000 residents) in northern Czech Republic, at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains, located right on the border with Poland. We chose this town to spend the night before continuing our journey. Our sightseeing was limited to a morning walk to stretch our legs before leaving and picking up a few things for the rest of the car trip. During that walk, we only explored the southern part of town. As for me, I was, of course, walking around with my camera in hand.

Žacléř to małe górskie miasteczko (ok 3000 mieszkańców) w północnych Czechach u podnóża Karkonoszy i położone jest tuż przy granicy z Polską. Miasteczko to wybraliśmy na nocleg przed dalszą podróżą. Samo zwiedzanie ograniczone było do porannego spaceru aby rozprostować kości przed wyjazdem i zrobienia małego zakupu na dalszą drogę samochodem. Podczas tego spaceru zwiedziliśmy tylko południową część miasteczka. W moim przypadku spacer był oczywiście z aparatem w ręce.

In this part of town, there is a small square featuring a Marian Column from the first half of the 18th century and a 19th-century fountain. The old, colorful buildings surrounding the square catch the eye. The buildings that are visible house a café and a restaurant. The others, on the other hand, house grocery stores.

W tej części miasteczka znajduje się mały plac z Kolumna Maryjną z pierwszej połowy XVIII wieku oraz XIX-wieczną fontanną. Dookoła placu uwagę przyciągają stare kolorowe budynki. W widocznych budynkach znajdziemy w nich kawiarnię oraz restaurację. Z kolei w innych sklepy spożywcze.

Urząd Miejski w Žacléř. Po jego prawej stronie znajduje się budynek w którym mieliśmy nocleg.

The first white building houses the Žacléř City Museum, which features exhibits focusing primarily on the history of the region. Coal was mined here for 400 years.

W pierwszym białym budynku znajduje się Muzeum Miejskie w Žacléřu z eksponatami dotyczącymi głównie historii regionu. Przez 400 lat wydobywano tu węgiel kamienny.

Going north we will find few typical mountain houses creating a slightly different atmosphere from the square itself. You can rent one of them for a vacation.
I don't know what the rest of the town looks like, but I liked the square.

Idąc na północ znajdziemy kilka typowo górskich domów tworzących trochę inny klimat od samego placu. Jeden z nich można wynająć na wakacyjny wyjazd.
Nie wiem jak wygląda pozostała część tej miejscowości, natomiast plac mi się podobał.
