Our Family Quick Escape In Davao Crocodile Park and Zoo

(edited)

It was summer time here in the Philippines. My family decided to visit my elder sister living in DAVAO City. Davao was the safest city in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. For our first day in Davao we agreed to visit the DAVAO CROCODILE PARK AND ZOE. We would like to do it in the afternoon so the sun is not that hot anymore. From my sister’s house we need to go out and walk for five minutes to reach the bus stop or to the convenience store to get a grab or taxi. While walking to the convenience store, we saw a flock of Pigeons in the gasoline station along the road. I grabbed my camera and took a picture.

We rode grab and we travelled about twenty minutes to reach Davao Crocodile Park and Zoe. We pay 450pesos or about $9 entrance fee. I am glad they give twenty percent discounts to Persons with disability and seniors.

The first animal that we encountered was the Yellow Burmese Python.Ewwww! I am scared of snakes. I don’t want to touch it. My youngest daughter was so brave, she held it and took a picture with the Python.

Second animal was Capybara

Then let's go to the main animal in this zoo which is the different kinds of Crocodiles.
Here we thought there were no crocs but NONONO.. They are just hiding in the water which is now color green because of algae.

NILE CROCDILES lives in muddy waters, mangrove swamps and comouflage to ambush their prey

SALT WATER CROCODILES are the largest reptiles on earth, they also live in wetlands and fresh waters.

Next we saw the turtles that swam in the water.

Now this time we saw for the first time a real Zebra, before we only saw Zebra on television and in books.

Next is the largest and heaviest bird on earth reaching 9 feet tall but had undeveloped wings and massive weight yet they cannot fly; rather run fastest was the Ostrich.

We also saw the beautiful butterflies and I found out that butterflies like the red colors. Butterflies mostly landed on people that wore red shirts. My sister and I took a selfie in the butterfly cage.

They only have male peacocks but because there are no females, the male would not show us his beautiful male peacock fans or his train. Male peacock uses his train to attract his mate.

My daughters seemed to turn back into children when they saw the fishes. The fishes have different colors and they looked so wonderful. We bought food for the fish and then our daughters started to feed.

THE Sheep in the ZOO looks lonely maybe because of the limited space . Unlike to the farms where they can play around and run.

My daughters ever since do not saw Bat's ,this is there first time.

We enjoyed so much our adventure and Quick escape in Davao yet it makes us tired walking around the zoo.
That’s all for now my beloved Hiver’s and wishing you all a happy summer. See you on my next vlog.

I learned something interesting about Ostriches recently: In captivity ostriches frequently lose interest in mating because they become so fascinated with their human caretakers that they no longer feel the need to have offspring and are only focused on being around and pleasing the humans in their lives. That's not necessarily a good thing.

Me? I find them quite scary :)

Yes, I know about this fact and its a weird and scary. Imagined, the ostrich loses her/his interest to mate fellow ostrich because they give their attention to the human caretakers. When we are in that zoo, I am most scared to snakes even to that yellow friendly phyton.
