In this post I will share my experience when visiting one of the open nature tourism destinations in Bireuen city, namely Krueng Simpo River, this is one of the old tourist destinations that is always crowded with visitors, especially during big days, but how nature changed this tourist spot that was once beautiful and crowded is now damaged and abandoned, and this incident occurred after the big flood that hit Aceh 4 months ago which changed many events. As the name suggests, in this tourist spot we can see the beautiful natural scenery of a fast flowing river which is added to the large rocks, the condition of the water is also quite clear so that it will attract every visitor to swim there.

On the trip I was also surprised by the view of the very congested road conditions, I did not know the cause of the congestion at all so I chose to stop for a moment at a mosque building on the side of the road, because of my curiosity I dared to ask about the traffic jam to the local residents, it turned out that the congestion was caused by a bridge that had broken or collapsed due to flooding 4 months ago, this really surprised me because it turned out that there were so many bridges in Bireuen that were destroyed by flooding.

From the mosque area I could see the view of the bridge in its entirety, it was visible that half of the bridge had collapsed, but a temporary bridge had been installed but its size was small so it caused severe traffic jams, especially when the Eid holiday was taking place.

And I was also very surprised because the size of this river was very large but shallow. From a distance I saw several fishing boats parked on the riverbank, and maybe when this bridge was broken, many people chose to cross this river using boats.

Luckily, the mosque building was still standing strong without any damage to any part of the building except for the fence. I didn't linger in this area because the more I waited, the more congested the traffic jam became and I didn't want to waste my time.

After continuing the journey for about 20 minutes, I finally arrived at the Krueng Simpo river tourist destination area.

There are many tourist destinations on the banks of this river, but some of them have been damaged or even disappeared under the flood currents, one thing that really surprised me was the size of this river is very big, even many of the large rocks that are typical of this place have also disappeared, previously the water in this river was very clear and clean so it was very tempting, but look at it now

The land area on the riverbank was also eroded by the flood currents and that is what caused many chairs and huts to disappear at this tourist spot, but even so, this place remains a very interesting tourist destination to visit, especially for nature lovers, my partner and I also took the time to stop by this place at that time.

However, I was also curious about some of my other favorite tourist destinations, so that day I also took the time to visit some of my frequent destinations. When I arrived at a village, I managed to capture a extraordinary beautiful natural view from the side of the road, but unfortunately, I didn't know the name of the area.
