GOODBYE SABANG // Recap of the last moments on the outskirts of Sabang city - Balohan Port to Ulee Lheue Port

In this post I will share my experience and my last moments on the island, January 31, 2026 was my last day of vacation on Sabang Island, that day was the determinant of all my time that I had spent on this island, and how I used that time to visit and explore several tourist destinations that might be very interesting to visit. I returned to Balohan Sabang harbor at 05.00 pm after completing all the administration of the boat ticket to Ulee Lheue harbor.

I holiday on Sabang Island for about 3 days and I think that was a very short time, there are still many places that I haven't visited and that is my biggest hope to be able to visit them, but this is not the end of everything,for now I have made plans with my friends to go on holiday again to Sabang Island.

On the last day we chose to visit several tourist attractions that were close to the city center, the goal was to save time and not miss the boat departure. I knew this was my last moment on this island, so I tried not to miss even the slightest moment that happened.

Wherever we go, the condition of the roads on Sabang Island is very good, paved and decorated with natural scenery on both sides of the road. I myself am very happy when I meet an uphill road, because right on top of the hills I can see a wider and clearer natural view, even in some areas I can see views of the ocean and mountains at the same time, and it is a beautiful view.

I captured this view while traveling to Balohan Sabang port, we chose to return to the port earlier so that we still had enough time to buy souvenirs to take home, but along the way I still tried to continue capturing the natural views that I thought were beautiful and interesting.

As soon as we arrived at the port area, we were immediately greeted by a large gate,as soon as we saw this gate, I immediately became sad because I realized that my time on this island was not long. As soon as we arrived there, we immediately returned the motorbike we had rented and some other equipment.

Not far from the port area we can also find a large market that sells various equipment, most tourists will definitely buy various souvenirs here to take home, as did I at that time. Here there is a very famous bread called Roti AG Sabang, and almost 80% of tourists will definitely buy this cake as a souvenir.

Exactly at 05.00 pm, the passengers were told to immediately board the ship so as not to miss it, and these are some pictures showing the view from Balohan Sabang port.

Honestly, I am still not satisfied with my vacation this time, there are still many tourist attractions that I have not visited, such as Rubiah Island, which is famous for its amazing natural scenery and has very interesting facilities such as snorkeling and diving, I have never tried it and that makes me very curious.
