EXOTIC NATURE TOURISM // The charm of traditional Acehnese houses amidst a beautiful artificial lake

In this post, I will share an exciting experience and memorable moment I had while visiting an open nature tourism destination in the protected forest area of Langsa City, featuring a traditional Acehnese house located in the middle of an artificial lake.This is my third visit to this tourist spot, and each visit has always given me a different impression and a pleasant experience. In this place, I can witness the beauty of a fairly large artificial lake with clean blue water, so some visitors have named it Lake Tasik Biru.

I only needed to walk for about one minute from the parking area to reach this tourist spot. On the edge of the lake, I also found a large hut that can accommodate many people,and according to the information I received from the staff there, this hut was built as a resting place for drivers, but other visitors are also allowed to relax there.

This place is one of the tourist destinations that was not affected by the major flood that occurred four months ago in Aceh. Although it was deserted for a few months, it is now starting to attract visitors again, both local tourists and visitors from outside the area.

What I really love about this place is that it’s very clean and well-maintained, and cleanliness always makes for a comfortable experience.After exploring the lake’s shores, it was time for me to head to the main attraction, namely a bridge leading to the center of the lake, where the traditional Acehnese house is located.

At the entrance to the bridge, I saw many other visitors busy with their own activities,I also met a newlywed couple who were taking their pre-wedding photos on the bridge,I didn’t want to disturb their happy moment, so I immediately walked past them.

This is a pedestrian bridge built directly over the artificial lake. As visitors cross the bridge, they can admire the beauty of the lake and the surrounding natural scenery,and benches have been placed along the bridge for visitors to rest and relax, and there are also several shady trees nearby.

And I was just a few steps away from reaching that traditional Acehnese house. From a distance of about 10 meters, the view of the house looked so beautiful and extraordinary. However, it is important to note that this is not the original form or size of a traditional Acehnese house,in my opinion, it is simply a replica. It would also require a significant investment to build an authentic traditional Acehnese house in the middle of the lake.

The size is not too big, and it looks similar to a hut, perhaps only able to accommodate around five people. However, this artificial beauty is able to attract the attention of many visitors, especially since this traditional Acehnese house is built right in the middle of the lake,visitors can relax there while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery around it.

Visually, this bridge has a very unique shape and architecture, especially the part located near the traditional Acehnese house. Its white color is also very attractive, making it look so amazing.
