Hello there!
Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe and the latest one being New Zealand, it's time to fly over to Australia!
Australia is a country that I have been to twice in my life. The first time was to Sydney in 2009, and the second time was to Melbourne in 2011. And I realised that's 14 years since I was last there! Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!
Here are the posts so far:

In this post, we head over to Melbourne! If Sydney was a busy tourist attraction, Melbourne felt very chill and relaxed. I felt the pace of life was slower over here and for a visitor on vacation, maybe some of you would prefer this pace of life and the vibes over here. As with every new city I visit, I would head up to one of the observatories and admire the layout of the city! Am sure you would know if you have been reading my travel posts, so it's not different this time! For Melbourne, we will be heading up to the Eureka Skydeck! And this time, we had an unexpected but unique experience! Let's go!
Up we went! First impression was that Eureka Skydeck was extremely high relative to the rest of the buildings in Melbourne! Most of the buildings looked relatively small.
Unfortunately, the weather was not optimal for photo taking because it was so cloudy and misty throughout. Like all travel adventures, weather is always beyond our control so we make the best out of it.
While I went around taking photos, it started to rain! Hmm on one hand, it's interesting because never had I taken such rainy photos at observatories so this would be a first. On the other hand, I was not sure if the photos would look good because it was all rainy and the raindrops were hitting on the glass panels as well.
This was the famous Flinders Street Station!
And here's their Central Business District! More tall buildings in the distance!
As I hung around for some time, the rain gradually stopped! There were blue skies! What a change from the grey and gloomy skies earlier!
Of course, for some glass panels, there were all the rain droplets so the photos looked like this.
A resting area where I got some rest while waiting for the rain to blow over! Pretty nice to chill around and admire the view over here too!
Other than the reflection because I was indoors, the view looked perfect after the rain stopped! :)
Wow what was that? Is that a rainbow? A faint one but it was unexpected surprise after the rain!!!
More views of the city!
And finally it was time to call it a day! Look at how tall this building is!
Observatories in different cities always never fail to wow me at their different layouts and the sights within the city. But this visit was the first time I had to experience different weather conditions, from dark clouds to the eventual rain and then ending off with a surprise rainbow! And that's the magical part of nature and travelling, sometimes you never know what to expect, but what is more important is taking things in your stride!
And that's all I have today! Have you been to Melbourne or Australia? Let me know in the comments below!
