Today we’ll take a closer look at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located on El Parque Street, across from Perimetral Avenue, with a view of the beautiful Caigüire Beach—so worshippers who come here can enjoy this enchanting scenery.

The church is small and simply designed, featuring a two-story structure built of light orange bricks, with gray beams and pillars also visible. It’s a sober combination for a religious building. Its roof stands out because it is green. On the sides, several rectangular windows protected by dark bars are prominent.
Behind this building lies Sugar Loaf Hill with its low, sparse vegetation. From the sidewalk, the view looks quite attractive—at least that’s what caught my eye as I captured the moment in a photograph. This hobby has become one of my favorites.

It’s worth noting that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located in Cumana, is part of a larger movement founded by Joseph Smith in 1830; therefore, there are branches bearing the same name in different parts of the world.
I enjoy exploring the city’s nooks and crannies and learning more about its history—the past hidden behind its walls—while connecting with nature and filling myself with positive energy. Both the sea and the hills are inspiring settings that help me create.

"Sugar Loaf Hill"—quite an imperialist name in itself, haha. That was the first thing that caught my eye; the back looks like a beautiful hill, with a name like a 51st state—oops, no, no... but yeah, yeah!

A delicious "sugar bread" 😋. The neighbors in the neighborhood gave it that name because it looked a lot like a very famous bread from there, and also because its texture is very fine, like grains of sugar. Thanks for stopping by 🤗
