This was an intense hike down to the bottom of Kaaterskill Falls in the Catskills...why don't you make the journey with me?

Here is a wonderful view from the bottom....but first you gotta do the 1.5 mile trek down the mountain...but don't worry, there are 450 stairs to help you get there!

Here is the lovely view from the top...I believe they say this is the place where Rip Van Winkle took the world's longest nap!
These sprawling views make you feel for the people that had to go over these mountains without a car!...not to mention the bears 🐻

We are getting closer...here's a view as I work my way down.

Be careful not to slip on your way down!

I didn't see any bears...but we'll call that a win for the day.

Here are some bonus pics from a little bog and these cool shiny frogs(taken from a spot in town near a tourist shoppe)

And lastly, the mysterious dead animal wedged between some rocks at the bottom of the falls. Dog? Coyote? Wolf? Deer?

Be careful out there...you never know what's gonna get you!

The description of the difficult journey down and the 450 steps makes you understand how exciting the hike was. I especially liked the view from below the waterfall and the photos of the frogs.
What a beautiful waterfall! Absolutely love the surroundings too! And that frog surely has a good time living around lol
This waterfall and this mountain area is very similar to the thousand mosque area in our city. Completely pristine and mountainous and full of tourist attractions.
This area looks very beautiful and I am sure that the feeling of these areas cannot be described with these photos. You have to be and just touch
Watch out for Bigfoot
Ha!..
I was so focused on the bears that I totally forgot about the BIG GUY!
