RE: A Visit to the Town of Santa Rosa [ENG/ESP]

@gpache, this was a real treat. Santa Rosa looks alive—color, people, all of it. The photos pull you right in and make the streets feel close. I loved the pigeons landing on Bolívar’s bust, and those narrow colonial streets make me want to walk them slowly, no rush, peeking at balconies and old walls.

The Divina Pastora got me. You can feel how deeply people love her, how she fills the town with faith. That kind of devotion deserves respect. The way you wrote about it brings the place close.

That’s the thing about Worldmappin and everyone posting here. You learn about places you might never see, and somehow they start to feel familiar. I keep a running list of spots I find. Santa Rosa has earned its place on it. If I ever get to Venezuela, I’m going.

@gpache, esto ha sido un verdadero regalo. Santa Rosa se ve llena de vida: el color, la gente, todo. Las fotos te atrapan y hacen que las calles se sientan cercanas. Me encantaron las palomas posándose en el busto de Bolívar, y esas calles coloniales estrechas me dan ganas de recorrerlas despacio, sin prisa, mirando de reojo los balcones y las paredes viejas.

La Divina Pastora me llegó. Se siente lo mucho que la quiere la gente, cómo llena el pueblo de fe. Esa devoción merece respeto. La forma en que escribiste sobre ella hace que el lugar se sienta cerca.

Eso es lo que tiene Worldmappin y todos los que publican aquí. Uno aprende sobre lugares que quizá nunca vea y, de algún modo, empiezan a sentirse familiares. Tengo una lista que voy actualizando con los sitios que descubro. Santa Rosa se ha ganado su lugar en ella. Si algún día llego a Venezuela, iré.
