Exploring the Sacred Lake of the Moon in the Spiti Himalayas.

A beautiful day out here today in the Himalayas as the journey begins something just like this, we were on our way and Spiti expedition where we got few days over here, exploring these beautiful locations around in these remote, isolated Wonderland in the northern Himalayas and the thought why not to share these moments with you guys through this post, and so over here, it was the perfect moment about us visiting the lake of the Moon. The Chandra Taal Lake.

In my previous post, it was about visiting the holy rock by the side of this lake and today to be precise. It was the moment that we spend over here closer to the lake, and I thought why not to make this complete post so that you guys could also experience the true beauty of exact locations of exact portions, rather than just me reaching all the way and sharing my whole expedition in just a single post. I had countless number of memories and now sharing them with different posts and so was this perfect moment over here in the Himalayas, my friends somewhere near about 8 AM, all the way since we started driving all the way from our campsite that was somewhere near about 5 km away, but the whole drive it took near about two hours. All the way in order to reach this particular location.

This place was awesome was as dry as it seems like as usually throughout the year, the place is covered with the thick sheet of snow that lasts for quite a lot of time throughout the year, and this being only the time throughout the year when this place seem to be dry, and in this particular day, it even snowed, and there was a storm that we got caught in, but it was just a whole lot of different adventure that I had on when I was at this place, truly exploring this location and capturing the beauty of it or something that truly I enjoyed and now sharing it with you guys through the post.

Just literally felt like the whole that the whole place just got burnt, not because of the direction, sunlight or heat, but more over it was all because of the extreme cold and extreme Harsh climate condition that usually occurs at this place and the temperature as far as I remember, it was somewhere closer to 0°C and even below and the water, it was freezing cold, no totally frozen, but partially frozen at certain points.

The whole place it felt so peaceful and so amazing and altogether just a whole lot of a different experience that I had on when I was at this place, I thought not to share these moments with you guys through this post, so I tried capturing as many photographs, as I could all the way in different perspectives and different angles for you guys to also experience this beauty hidden moments from the Himalayas.

The moments nearby looked something just like this. There were these few of the people that came all the way from different places, the true adventure enthusiast and few of the local people also that came as even though this place was a place of worship also considered as the Holy lake.

Currently, we were at an altitude of more than 4000 m above the sea level and still going on as we were in feet. I would say more than 13,000 altitude in this beautiful location. All the way it took us near about without a day of the rest in order reach this location, but just driving all the way in just a single day was just so difficult and so much, I would say not difficult to be precise, but more over like to just cover all the distance in just a single day was a hectic task, so we decided the stop somewhere in the middle of campsite relaxed for a while and also just getting a whole lot of altitude. Change in just a single day is also not recommended so that was also the reason why we stayed for a night and then early morning. We came all the way to this place and then it was the time to head back.

I could even hear the peaceful sound of of the breeze over here, and also followed by the sound of the lake.

Another thing that I noticed when I was at this place, it was that I saw that the higher mountains it started to snow and the snowfall just started out and later in this particular day, we even got caught in a snowstorm as previously mentioned my friends that was a whole lot of different story that even I have shared in my previous post, but for now, it was the moment about sharing beautiful moment over here that I spent in these remote isolated locations in Himalayas.
