If you penetrate between these two giant stones and find a spring there, you need to drink water from it... And then you will always be young! - so says the legend...

One day, while driving along the highway, we saw two tall, round rock formations from afar, towering high above the village. That's how we got there for the first time, circling the winding road around, trying to find a place to climb up closer to these stones.

We found a small parking lot near some interesting old houses with round tiled roofs. This time we took a Turkish friend with us to protect us from the village dogs. The guy comes from central Turkey, where his family is a livestock farmer. So he knows how to deal with them.

To fully explain to you, I will say: the dogs here are of the Kangal breed - trained to guard flocks of sheep and goats from danger. They often unite in packs and then it is really scary. We armed ourselves with stones and slowly moved up the steep slope. The dogs barked, but did not touch us. Finally, we climbed up and came out onto the plateau, from where the mountains were visible in the distance, and there was also a road to the stones - brothers, which were very close.

It was a fairly spacious clearing among the pine trees. I stopped for a moment to rest and enjoy the beautiful sunny evening...
Suddenly I heard the ringing of bells and human voices. A herd of goats was moving down the mountainside.
The rays of the setting sun pierced the forest. I was fascinated by this beautiful sight, I wanted to get closer to take a video, but the shepherd warned me not to get too close because there was a guard dog there!

Finally we reached the foot of the giant stones of the brothers. My youngest daughter @darine.darine and our friend quickly climbed a large rock.

They had to walk through a narrow opening under the rocks. My @bugavi also joined them. But I stayed below to take some photos of the natural scenery while the sun was still shining in the forest.

Winter in the Antalya region is amazing! It feels like spring. I really love looking at the patterns of green moss on the stones and the purple flowers that look like snowdrops.

Orange stones, painted with moss patterns, covered with pine needles create luxurious natural pictures against the backdrop of evening mountains, which look blue in the distance.

Here in the forest there are many strange round thorny plants, which I have also met on the Greek islands, as well as in the Izmir region, in Cesme. The nature of Turkey is truly amazing. It combines plants from different countries. And there are many plants that also grow in my Ukraine.

At the foot of the giants' stones I saw the ruins of an ancient stone wall. The masonry style is rough, without mortar, very typical of Lycian era or later Ottoman mountain settlements. So it was possible that this was an ancient settlement or a historical village.

We walked around the stones, but we didn't find the spring. Perhaps the legend is about a spiritual source of power that the stones radiate...
So we will come again early in the morning to explore the mountain more from other sides. We also need to ask the villagers about the spring of eternal youth ππ

While I was taking photos, a flock of sheep came very close to me, and I hid on a stone, away from the guard dog.

Climbing up the rock, we took some very beautiful photos of the scenery. From here, we could see the city and the sea.

As the sun set behind the mountain, it painted the mountains golden, and I thanked God for this beautiful walk ππ»β₯οΈ

These rocks are the "unofficial calling card" of the village of Kuzdere. Kemer, Turkey

I recently read that our brains relax and feel calm when we are near large natural objects. The state of anxiety disappears, the soul is filled with peace. This is exactly how I feel in the forest next to these giant stones, which are like silent good guards. Psychologists call this state "awe". People call such places places of power. We really felt small and protected in their surroundings. And although we did not find the source of "eternal youth", we felt a healing energy ππ»π

What you say about the dogs would have made me give up. Thank goodness they found an excellent companion to defend them. The landscape is incredible, but what a shame they didn't find the spring. Although perhaps it's a metaphor for life: those who can climb those rocks are those with strong bones and an adventurous spirit, so youth will be eternal. As beautiful as ever, my friend. A hug.
I admire people who are not afraid of dogs and know how to communicate with them correctly. This is an incredible spiritual power. I would like to be able to do that too.
I feel young and full of desire for new adventures. Thank you for your feedback β₯οΈ
