Happy Sunday, blog friends, how are you? I hope all is well. I've been a bit busy these days, but luckily I've also had the chance to take a few trips. Today I'm taking you back to the city of Montecatini. This time, however, I'm not taking you wandering around the outskirts, but to a very nice fair held along two of the main streets of northern Montecatini, closed to cars for the occasion: Via Marruota and another street (I don't remember the name). I really like fairs and markets. I'd read online that this was a small spring market, so my husband and I decided to go. As soon as we arrived, we were very impressed by the ponies and horses. The ponies were very cute, but I didn't want to get too close to photograph them because I was afraid of disturbing them. Children and adults were allowed to ride for free, but I'm a little scared, so I didn't go, but I thought it was a great initiative to raise awareness of one of the city's equestrian centers and introduce young people to this sport.

Hoy los llevo de vuelta a la ciudad de Montecatini. Esta vez, sin embargo, no los llevo a pasear por las afueras, sino a una feria muy bonita que se celebra en dos de las calles principales del norte de Montecatini, cerradas al tráfico para la ocasión: Via Marruota y otra calle (no recuerdo el nombre). Me encantan las ferias y los mercados. Había leído en internet que este era un pequeño mercado de primavera, así que mi esposo y yo decidimos ir. Nada más llegar, nos impresionaron mucho los ponis y los caballos. Los ponis eran muy lindos, pero no quise acercarme demasiado para fotografiarlos porque tenía miedo de molestarlos. Tanto niños como adultos podían montar gratis, pero yo tengo un poco de miedo, así que no fui. Aun así, me pareció una iniciativa estupenda para dar a conocer uno de los centros ecuestres de la ciudad e introducir a los jóvenes en este deporte.

Continuing through the market, we saw a truly mixed market. There were some antique stalls, with paintings, some valuable and some not, vintage watches (which my husband was very fascinated by), mirrors, vases, old tools, and even vintage cameras—very beautiful. There were also stalls selling modern items, especially inexpensive clothing, but also more unique and expensive items. Obviously, the stalls selling inexpensive clothes were more valuable. Then there were also stalls selling handicrafts, handmade jewelry and bags, costume jewelry, wallets, beauty accessories, and countless knick-knacks of all kinds. There were truly so many stalls along the entire street.

Another of my favorite stalls was the one with the animals, which fortunately seemed well-kept. You can't always trust the stallholders with animals, sometimes they aren't well-kept. However, there were many cute animals, birds of various kinds, parrots, mice, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I really hope that some of them have found homes.

Anyway, besides the market, we also saw some beautiful streets and even a church. If you follow me, you know I love visiting churches, but unfortunately this one was closed. It was a very modern church called Corpus Christi. It actually has a new structure. It doesn't look like a church, but I would have been curious to visit the inside, even though I prefer old churches. It was a pleasant stroll through the market, but miraculously, I didn't buy anything! Maybe it was because during the move, I realized I had too many things and I didn't give in to anything!

Siguiendo nuestro recorrido por el mercado, nos encontramos con una auténtica mezcla de todo. Había puestos de antigüedades, con cuadros, algunos valiosos y otros no tanto, relojes antiguos (que fascinaron a mi marido), espejos, jarrones, herramientas antiguas e incluso cámaras vintage, todas preciosas. También había puestos que vendían artículos modernos, sobre todo ropa barata, pero también objetos más exclusivos y caros. Obviamente, los puestos de ropa barata eran los más valiosos. Además, había puestos de artesanía, bisutería y bolsos hechos a mano, carteras, accesorios de belleza e infinidad de chucherías de todo tipo. Había muchísimos puestos a lo largo de toda la calle.

Otro de mis puestos favoritos era el de los animales, que por suerte parecía estar bien cuidado. No siempre se puede confiar en los vendedores ambulantes con los animales, a veces no los cuidan bien. Sin embargo, había muchos animales adorables: pájaros de diversas especies, loros, ratones, hámsteres y cobayas. Espero de verdad que algunos hayan encontrado un hogar.

En fin, además del mercado, también vimos unas calles preciosas e incluso una iglesia. Si me seguís, sabéis que me encanta visitar iglesias, pero por desgracia esta estaba cerrada. Era una iglesia muy moderna llamada Corpus Christi. De hecho, tiene una estructura nueva. No parece una iglesia, pero me habría dado curiosidad entrar, aunque prefiero las iglesias antiguas. Fue un paseo agradable por el mercado, ¡pero milagrosamente no compré nada! Quizás fue porque durante la mudanza me di cuenta de que tenía demasiadas cosas y no cedí a la tentación.
