A road trip through eastern Prato, the countryside, modernity, and graffiti./ Un viaje por carretera a través del este de Prato: el campo, la modernidad y el grafiti

Good evening, blog friends, how are you? A few days ago I took a tour of eastern Prato and wanted to share my little trip with you. Prato is a large city, divided into several parts, with a large suburb and several hamlets. Today we're going to eastern Prato; before we get there, we have to cover a bit of a road. The nice thing, in my opinion, is that this area, like many in Tuscany, is surrounded by countryside and rural areas. In fact, even before reaching Prato, we pass through various countryside areas with large fields interspersed with pine and cypress trees typical of the area. Then, slowly, as we approach the city, we begin to spot the first houses, scattered here and there among the fields, and then, little by little, various small, increasingly larger clusters of houses. Then you start to get closer to the city and you start to notice a more urban environment, one thing that I particularly liked and struck me was the numerous graffiti painted on the street walls, more or less beautiful but certainly perfect for making walls and roadways less anonymous and grey, then well I have a weakness for graffiti and street art.

Prato es una ciudad grande, dividida en varias partes, con un gran suburbio y varias aldeas. Hoy vamos al este de Prato; antes de llegar, tenemos que recorrer un poco de carretera. Lo bueno, en mi opinión, es que esta zona, como muchas en la Toscana, está rodeada de campos y áreas rurales. De hecho, incluso antes de llegar a Prato, pasamos por varias áreas rurales con grandes campos intercalados con pinos y cipreses típicos de la zona. As we get closer to Prato Est, the environment is always urban but alternating with fields and you can also notice various factories, it is a very industrial area like almost the whole city of Prato, especially active in the textile and furniture industries, however, arriving right in Prato Est I noticed that the area was very modern, there were many buildings probably of apartments, factories, businesses of various types (many of them Chinese, Prato has a very large Chinese community) various modern buildings that struck me (like a small concrete tower that I believe belonged to a church with a decidedly modern look), or a sort of hourglass sculpture placed in the middle of a road. However, the nice thing is that despite the modern side, Prato Est maintains many green spaces, there are large flowerbeds, fields and tree-lined avenues that intersperse the long rows of modern buildings. I think it's important for a city to have greenery and it's something that not all cities have. However, it's an area that I liked, I liked the contrast between modern and rural, the green areas and also the more urban parts. Prato never ceases to amaze me as a city.

A medida que nos acercamos a Prato Est, el entorno es siempre urbano, pero se alterna con campos y también se pueden observar varias fábricas. Es una zona muy industrial, como casi toda la ciudad de Prato, especialmente activa en las industrias textil y del mueble. Sin embargo, al llegar a Prato Est, noté que la zona era muy moderna. Había muchos edificios, probablemente apartamentos, fábricas, negocios de diversos tipos (muchos de ellos chinos, ya que Prato tiene una gran comunidad china), varios edificios modernos que me llamaron la atención (como una pequeña torre de hormigón que creo que perteneció a una iglesia con un aspecto decididamente moderno), o una especie de escultura de reloj de arena colocada en medio de una calle.
