A visit to the regional cemetery of Zulia. | Una visita al cementerio regional de Zulia.

Gratos saludos tengan todos mis queridos viajeros de todo el mundo, en este sábado hoy quiero seguirlrs mostarndo lugares emblemáticos de mi región en el estado Zulia y la ciudada Maracaibo.

Greetings to all my dear travellers from around the world. Today, Saturday, I would like to continue showing you some of the most iconic places in my region, the state of Zulia and the city of Maracaibo.

En panteón regional del estado Zulia se encuentra localizado justamente en t toda la avenida principal de la Padilla en la ciudad de Maracaibo el cielo en este lugar se encuentran los cenotafíos de Zulianos honorables importantes que le han dado vida de manera especial a la historia de nuestra región, fue justamente fundado en 1995, así como también personajes importantes para el gentilicio Zuliano musical de nuestra ciudad, como también otros grandes Zulianos de otros ambitos, la historia nos dice que en este lugar fue bautizado Rafael Urdaneta, pero ciertamente a ciencia cierta fue bautizado en la colina del Zamuro en su casa, este lugar generalmente se la mantiene cerrado pero anhelo mucho poder entrar a su interior.

The regional cemetery of Zulia State is located right on the main avenue of La Padilla in the city of Maracaibo. Here lie the cenotaphs of honourable and important Zulianos who have given life to the history of our region in a special way. It was founded in 1995, as well as important figures in the musical life of our city, and other great Zulianos from other fields. History tells us that Rafael Urdaneta was baptised here, but in fact he was baptised at his home on Zamuro Hill. This place is usually closed to the public, but I would very much like to be able to go inside.

Justamente fue inagurado un 25 de Enero día de nuestro Santo Martir de Maracaibo San Sebastian quien realizo tantos milagros tanto durante una fuerte epidemia que nos ataco hace muchos años atrás, la mayoría de los Zulianos ilustres han sido exhumados y traídos a este panteón ya que la mayoría descansaban en el cementerio el cuadrado, era anteriormente una capilla y templo bastimal, primeramente se le traslador Venancio Pulgar que fue presidente constitucional del estado Zulia, cabe destacar que el estilo del panteón es neoclásico que posee dos columnas y cornisas.

It was inaugurated on 25 January, the feast day of our Holy Martyr of Maracaibo, Saint Sebastian, who performed so many miracles during a severe epidemic that struck us many years ago. Most of the illustrious Zulianos have been exhumed and brought to this pantheon, as most of them rested in the El Cuadrado cemetery. It was formerly a chapel and bastimal temple. Venancio Pulgar, who was the constitutional president of the state of Zulia, was the first to be transferred there. It is worth noting that the pantheon is neoclassical in style, with two columns and cornices.

Este tiene un sólo nivel de plano rectangular, con una sola enorme puerta de madera centrada que esta se abre en dos, atravesada por largos pasadores de madera para ser pasadores de gran seguridad, posee techo con aramasón de madera y tejas, en su parte superior en su fachada neoclasica posee el gran escudo del estado Zulia este esta fabricado totalmente en mármol su fachada externa es de forma cuadrangular, posee un muro conmeorativo que posee medallones con personajes ilustres que se encuentran en el, este representan los 11 hijos que tuvo Rafael Urdaneta, en frente de los medallones esta la escultura de María Dolores Vargas quién fue la esposa de Rafael Urdaneta.

It has a single rectangular floor plan, with a single enormous wooden door in the centre that opens in two, secured with long wooden bolts for added security. It has a wooden roof with tiles, and at the top of its neoclassical façade is the large coat of arms of the state of Zulia, made entirely of marble. Its external façade is quadrangular in shape, It has a commemorative wall with medallions depicting illustrious figures, representing the 11 children of Rafael Urdaneta. In front of the medallions is a sculpture of María Dolores Vargas, who was Rafael Urdaneta's wife.

En este panteón están los restos del Bolerista de América el gran Felipe Pirela, como también Ricardo Aguirre el Monumental, recientemente se trajeron del cementerio el cuadrado los restos de Udón Perez quien fue poeta de nuestra ciudad y compositor del himno del Estado Zulia, entre otros Zulianos importantes gran cantidad de ellos cada vez que son fechas conmemorativas hacen una orden especial para rinder sus tributos especiales, espero poder visitar su interior y belleza poder ver de mayor profundidad de este lugar.

This cemetery holds the remains of Felipe Pirela, the great Bolero singer of America, as well as Ricardo Aguirre, known as El Monumental. Recently, the remains of Udón Perez, a poet from our city and composer of the anthem of Zulia State, among other important Zulianos, were brought from El Cuadrado Cemetery. Many of them, whenever there are commemorative dates, place a special order to pay their special tributes. I hope to visit the interior and beauty of this place to see it in greater depth.

Por último fue un paseo totalmente interesante, para recorrer este hermoso lugar que esconde tanta historia en medio de sus paredes, la historia es parte fundamental de nosostros y define lo que somos de manera esencial para no olvidar nuestras, raíces espero que este lugar les haya gustado mis queridos viajeros nos vemos en una próxima oportunidad.
