Where history meets beautiful scenery: El Prado Park | Entre historia y bellos paisajes: Parque El Prado 🌳⚔️

Good evening, travelers. It’s my pleasure to share a little more about our latest adventure with you.
Our second stop in Trujillo state was at El Prado Park, a beautiful public space full of unique charm that connects us directly with nature and with the history not only of the state but of our country. I was surprised by how large it was and how it was possible that no one else was enjoying it at that moment.
As we walked, we saw some people across the street who let us know we were in Trujillo. We also came across a space for athletes and those who love physical activities, with machines that help condition and keep the body healthy through exercise, as well as a basketball court.
On one side stood a statue honoring Cruz Carillo, intended to inspire virtues in young people so they might become exemplary men. He was a historical figure who, although a civilian, was very brave and participated in several battles in the countryside of his city, defending his lands from those who sought to take them over.
There were a couple of playgrounds for the little ones; it’s a shame there weren’t any children playing there—they would have brought a lot of energy and life to the place.
At the end of the square stands a monument commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo, a metal structure representing our army’s victory in one of the most important battles for our country’s freedom.
One of the things I liked most about this park is all the greenery surrounding it. The combination of mountains, the area’s abundant vegetation, and an excellent climate are quite important for any traveler. Of all my visits to the state of Trujillo, this is the first time I’ve stopped to enjoy the sights along the way to my main destination for the day.

Buenas noches viajeros, es un placer para mi mostrarles un poco más de nuestra más reciente aventura.
Nuestra segunda parada en el estado Trujillo fue en el Parque El Prado, un hermoso espacio público lleno de un encanto único que nos conecta directamente con la naturaleza y con la historia no solo del estado sino de nuestro país, me sorprendió lo grande que era y como era posible que nadie estuviera disfrutando del mismo en ese momento.
Mientras caminábamos vimos unas al otro lado de la calle que nos hacían saber que estábamos en Trujillo, también nos encontramos con un espacio para deportistas y aquellos que aman realizar actividades físicas con máquinas que ayudan a condicionar y mantener el cuerpo sano a través del ejercicio, también una cancha para jugar baloncesto.
En un costado se encontraba una estatua en honor a Cruz Carillo con la finalidad de despertar en la juventud virtudes para que sean hombres ejemplares, fue un personaje histórico que aunque era un civil, era muy valiente y participó en algunas batallas en el campo en su ciudad y así defender sus tierras de aquellos que pretendían adueñarse de ellas.
Habían un par de zonas de juegos para los más pequeños, es una lástima que no habían niños jugando en ellos, le darían mucha energía y vida al lugar.
Al final de la plaza se encuentra un monumento en conmemoración a los doscientos años de la Batalla de Carabobo, una estructura metálica que representa la victoria de nuestro ejército en una de las batallas más importantes para la libertad de nuestro país.
Una de las cosas que más me gustó de este parque es todo el verde que le rodea, la combinación de montañas, abundante vegetación de la zona y un excelente clima, son bastante importantes para cualquier viajero, de todas mis visitas al estado Trujillo es primera vez que me detengo a disfrutar de los sitios que estaban rumbo a mi destino más importante de ese día.
