Good afternoon, travelers from around the world.

We arrived at the San Carlos Peninsula after approximately three hours of travel. We immediately began to explore its streets, which were mostly sandy paths. We saw a few animals along the way, including donkeys and goats. It was my second time in San Carlos, but from a different perspective.

Then we found ourselves back at the beach. We could see colorful tents and huts from afar, with some beachgoers waiting in the shade and others enjoying the sea. We decided to continue our walk around the area.

We arrived at the biggest tourist attraction in the area, the Castle of San Carlos, which is currently closed for maintenance. It's a shame, but we still walked along the shore until we reached a small lighthouse outside the castle. We focused on the good things and listened to the waves of the sea, which Ricardo and I love so much.

We left this area of the San Carlos Peninsula behind and passed by the Immaculate Conception Church, which is also closed, and Plaza Bolívar. Both are a bit deteriorated and need to be restored to their former glory and joy.

We returned to San Carlos beach, this time to walk and enjoy the shore. There were some seashells and dead puffer fish, the first time I had seen them so close up. How sad that they were like that. There were many children enjoying a good swim and playing in the sand. I really liked feeling the breeze ruffling my hair and touching my face, and the waves looked quite calm.

To almost finish our visit to the San Carlos Peninsula, we went to lunch. It was a delicious dish with fish fillet, rice, salad, and plantains (tostones) with lemon, prepared by our guide. It was exquisite. Definitely, near the beach, the fish has better seasoning.

This trip is one of the most risky we have ever taken, but what a great experience we have taken away with us in our memories as travelers. There is still a quarter left, one last place we decided to visit before returning, which we wanted to take advantage of.
