Strolling through the Bobures Spa and Pier | Paseando por el Balneario y Muelle de Bobures 🌊

ENGLISH VERSION (click here!)

Hello, travelers from around the world. Happy Saturday night to everyone.

Continuing our tour of the town of Bobures, I wanted to show you a little more of this place that’s so special to Ricardo. As I mentioned, it’s located south of Lake Maracaibo, which means the beach is very close by. We were able to ride our motorcycle around the resort and take a short but very meaningful walk along the pier.

This place was new to me, but it seemed very similar to other spots I’ve visited, like Los Puertos de Altagracia, La Vereda del Lago, or Santa Rosa de Agua, perhaps because they’re all part of the same body of water. First, we went to the beach resort, a spot where swimmers can enjoy the sun, the beach, and a refreshing dip. On the shore, there were restaurants, stands selling inflatables, and, of course, some tables and chairs under the palm trees for people who, I was told, come frequently and in large numbers to enjoy the weekend.

We decided to go straight to the pier, where there is a river and lake patrol station that appeared to be out of service or perhaps it was just closed at the time. We walked along the pier until we came upon a heron perched on a rock.

In this area, you could enjoy a pleasant breeze and the sound of the waves lapping at the shore. I really liked it, and I completely understand why it’s such a cherished and special place for Ricardo because, as the song by Cardenales del Éxito says: "The land of Zulia is a little paradise, where everyone is family, from the country folk to the coastal people." It’s impossible not to feel moved just standing in front of our lake, and even better, to keep discovering new places within my own state.

My heart, as always, was overflowing with love at the chance to discover this little corner of Zulia; what a joy that life and Ricardo brought me here.
