Our Lady of Peace Square | Plaza Nuestra Señora de la Paz 🕊

Hello, travelers. How’s your week going? Mine’s been packed with work, but I’m always eager to write and keep sharing stories about my Easter trip with you.
Now, we’ve finally arrived at the last place we visited in Trujillo State: Plaza Nuestra Señora de la Paz. Incidentally, it’s very close to Parque de la Trujillanidad, which I mentioned earlier. This is an important landmark that serves as an exit or entrance for visitors and tourists, depending on which area they’re heading to.
Although Plaza Nuestra Señora de la Paz is very small, in the center stands a monument of the Virgin dressed in white with a blue mantle featuring beautiful floral and leaf details. She wears a large, rounded crown from which small stars emerge, and holds a palm branch in her hands, symbolizing peace and inviting us to reconciliation to achieve tranquility in our lives. Let us remember that in this state, people are very devout and show great devotion to this Marian title.
This monument is different from the one of the Virgin of Peace, since, as you may recall, that one holds a dove in her right hand, while the one I’m showing you today holds a palm branch; but ultimately, they convey the same message: to fill our hearts with peace, faith, and love.
The area around the plaza’s walkways is paved with cobblestones, some of which feature mosaics, as well as small planters with pots inside them. I also loved that the mountains were always visible no matter which way I looked—being in the Andes is no ordinary experience; every place has something special that sets it apart.
For me, there are no small places; there’s always something that catches my eye and is worth sharing, since there are so many places to visit in Venezuela and so many reasons to return to the ones I’ve already been to. That afternoon I couldn’t take any more photos because my phone ran out of battery, but I was able to charge it on the way to our next destination—in a new state.

Hola, viajeros. ¿Que tal va su semana? La mía llena de trabajo, pero siempre con la mejor disposición para escribir y seguir hablándoles de mi viaje en Semana Santa.
Ahora si, finalmente llegamos al último lugar que visitamos en el Estado Trujillo, la Plaza Nuestra Señora de la Paz, que por cierto queda muy cerca del Parque de la Trujillanidad del cuál les hablé anteriormente, este es un punto de referencia importante que sirve como salida o entrada para los visitantes o turistas, dependiendo a cuál zona se dirijan.
La Plaza Nuestra Señora de la Paz, aunque es muy pequeña, tiene en el centro un monumento de la virgen con ropa blanca y un manto azul que tiene hermosos detalles de flores y hojas, lleva una corona grande con forma redondeada y de su interior brotan pequeñas estrellas, lleva en sus manos una palma que simboliza la paz y nos invita a la reconciliación para alcanzar la tranquilidad en nuestras vidas, recordemos que en este estado son muy devotos y le rinden gran devoción a esta advocación mariana.
Este monumento es distinto al de la Virgen de la Paz, ya que si recuerdan ese lleva una paloma en la mano derecha y este que les muestro hoy tiene una palma, pero que a la final trasmiten el mismo mensaje, llenar de paz, fe y amor a nuestros corazones.
Los alrededores de las caminerías de la plaza están cubiertos por caicos en sus pisos con algunos mosaicos, al igual que pequeñas jardineras con algunas vasijas dentro de ellas, también me gustó que las montañas no dejaban de apreciarse en cualquier sentido hacia donde miraba, es que estar en los Andes no es cualquier cosa, cada lugar cuenta con algo especial que les caracteriza.
Para mi no existen lugares pequeños, siempre hay algo que me llama la atención y merece ser compartido, ya que en Venezuela hay tantos lugares por visitar y razones para volver a los que ya he visitado. Esa tarde no pude tomar más fotos porque mi teléfono se quedó sin batería, pero pude cárgalo en camino a nuestro siguiente destino pero en uno nuevo estado.
