In the heart of the Andes, my visit to the Durí Shrine | En el corazón de los Andes, mi visita al Santuario de Durí 🙏🏻

Good morning, travelers. It is my privilege to take you on a new adventure, and today I will take you to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Durí, in Potrerito, in the state of Trujillo.
The road that leads us to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Durí is located on the outskirts of Mesa de Esnujaque and is one of the most beautiful routes I have ever taken, with beautiful landscapes and very green mountains full of crops. there are areas where you are so high up that the mist is very close and you feel like you are very close to the sky. It felt cold as we climbed, descended, and crossed some mountains to get there. We were approximately 2,000 meters above sea level.
We realized we had arrived at the sanctuary when we came across a facade that read Ave María and the year 1922 in the center, referring to some important year, I suppose to a remodeling of the temple. The padlock on the entrance gate was open, so we went in and walked around very peacefully. We were the only ones there at the time.
I paused for a moment to appreciate the small chapel from afar. I really liked the green mountains in the background, its simple colonial-style architecture, and the brick staircase.
I quickly enter through its only door to focus on the details of its interior, wooden ceilings and benches, and a single aisle leading directly to the altar with the image of Our Lady of the Rosary of Durí, surrounded by angels and cherubs, with the Most High at her feet.
Inside the religious temple are saints such as Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Benedict, archangels such as Saint Michael, and several virgins under different patronages.
It only has a niche waiting for a place to give thanks with candles and prayer, it also has a confessional and, at this time of year, a nativity scene, which in my country is traditionally left up until February 2, Candlemas Day.
Our Lady of the Rosary of Durí has been venerated with great faith, love, and devotion since 1777, when she appeared in these blessed lands. What a privilege it is to be able to come here and connect with part of the culture, religion, and landscapes of this town.

Buenos días, viajeros. Es un privilegio para mi llevarlos en una nueva aventura y hoy los llevaré a conocer el Santurio de Nuestra Señora de Durí, en Potrerito, en el Estado Trujillo.
El camino que nos lleva al Santuario Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Durí se encuentra a las afueras de la Mesa de Esnujaque y es uno de los recorridos más hermosos que he podido tener, con bellos paisajes y montañas muy verdes llenas de siembras, hay zonas en las que se esta tan alto que la nieblina esta muy cerca y se siente que estás muy cerca del cielo, se siente un frío clima mientras subíamos, bajamos y atravesabamos algunas montañas para llegar, nos encontrábamos aproximadamente a unos 2000 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Nos dimos cuenta que habíamos llegado al santuario cuando nos encontramos con una fachada que decía Ave María y el año 1922 en el centro, haciendo referencia a algún año importante, supongo que a una remodelación del templo, el candado de la reja de la entrada estaba abierto así que entramos y caminamos con mucha tranquilidad, éramos los únicos en el lugar en ese momento.
Me detuve un momento a apreciar la pequeña capilla desde lo lejos, me gustó mucho que tuviera de fondo las verdes montañas, su arquitectura sencilla y de estilo colonial y con un pie de escaleras de ladrillos.
Entre rápidamente por su única puerta, para concentrarme en los detalles de su interior, techos y bancas de madera y solo un pasillo que lleva directo al altar con la imagen de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Durí, rodeada de ángeles y querubines, a sus pies el altísimo.
Dentro del templo religioso se encuentran Santos como San Antonio de Padúa y San Benito, arcángeles como San Miguel y algunas vírgenes n distintas advocaciones.
Solo tiene un nicho que aguarda un lugar para agradecer con velas y en oración, también posee un confesionario y para ese momento un pesebre que en mi país es una tradición dejarlo puesto hasta el 2 de febrero día de la Candelaria.
Se le venera con mucha fe, amor y devoción a Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Durí desde el año 1.777, cuando realizo su aparición en estás tierras benditas, que privilegio que pudiéramos llegar hasta aquí y conectar con parte de la cultura, religión y paisajes de este pueblo.
