Hello world travelers!
It's time for a new adventure, so once again in the company of Ricardo, we headed from Maracaibo to Mesa de Esnujaque, a small town in the state of Trujillo. I had been longing to visit it for several months, and finally this weekend we had the opportunity to travel there.

Our trip, as usual, began at the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, a point of interest that connects Maracaibo with the rest of the country. It was approximately 6:00 a.m. and dawn had not yet broken. We prepared for the journey because when we left our homes there was no electricity. Fortunately, there was power in this area. Ricardo had a problem with his camera and microphone that he couldn't solve, so we had to start the trip a few minutes later.

Once we crossed the bridge, we continued our journey along the Lara-Zulia Highway, while the sky began to turn orange and the sun appeared with a beautiful sunrise peeking through the abundant trees along the road.

It was time to take a detour, or rather a shorter route, so we left Lara - Zulia to pass through the municipality of Lagunillas, an area known for oil extraction, and took the Intercomunal Avenue, which took us directly to Bachaquero, our first stop. At this point, we had been traveling for two hours, so we took the opportunity to have a delicious breakfast of empanadas with malt, rested for a few minutes, and continued on our way.

After passing through several small towns, we left the Intercomunal Avenue behind to reach the Zulia-Trujillo highway, where the beautiful mountainous landscapes became noticeable. We left our state behind to enter the enchanted state of Trujillo, land of Saint José Gregorio Hernández.

We made our second stop at the El Buey 3 gas station. We chose this gas station because we already knew the place from our trip to Boconó. Here we filled up the motorcycle with gas, drank some water, ate some chocolates, and stretched our legs a bit.

The road begins to slope a little more and the landscapes become even more enchanting. I saw a Curarie on the way with its beautiful yellow flowers. Apparently, flowering came early in other states. We passed the Agua Viva reservoir, but I couldn't take a photo. At this point, it still feels a little hot.

We passed through the small town of Motatán, where we took the road that leads to Valera. It had been many years since I had traveled on this highway, and I was surprised by how beautiful this important road was, lined with abundant vegetation.

Once we passed the city of Valera, we were surrounded by green mountains and increasingly steep climbs. This is the famous Valera-Timotes highway that leads directly to the páramo, but that wasn't our destination that day. I was in love with the road, not only because of the landscapes but also because of the sound of the river that could be heard at the side of the road.

We finally arrived at our destination, Mesa de Esnujaque, about six hours after leaving Maracaibo. The weather was cold and the air was cleaner. I was happy that we had arrived safely and, of course, to enjoy the natural beauty of my beloved Venezuela.

This is just the beginning; little by little, I will show you more of this adventure.
