Bolívar Square in Bobures | Plaza Bolívar de Bobures ⚔️

Hello, travelers from around the world.
All good things must come to an end. Two months after our last long trip through the states of Trujillo, Mérida, and the southern part of Lake Maracaibo in Zulia, today I’ll finally share the conclusion of this magical adventure. It couldn’t have taken place in a more meaningful location for us Venezuelans than Plaza Bolívar though this time, in the town of Bobures.
This Plaza Bolívar, like others found throughout the country, is quite simple and could almost go unnoticed because it has a couple of enormous palm trees at its entrance and other smaller trees surrounding them; its floors are made of black and white river stones, and some people were sitting on benches enjoying the shade and the free WiFi service.
In the center of the square stands what was once a water fountain it is no longer in operation with a pedestal made of brick shaped stones. At the top is a beige bust of Simón Bolívar; it appears that some citizens placed a feather or something similar on his head as a decoration. I’d like to think that’s what happened and not a sign of disrespect toward El Libertador.
Behind the statue of Bolívar are three large arches within a rectangular structure partly made of red bricks; I really like that they lead directly to the beach and the pier.
Every Plaza Bolívar holds a piece of history within it; it’s a shame that this one doesn’t bear the date it was built or inaugurated, but it’s always good to know that it’s part of the enjoyment of everyone who lives in this town and serves as a reminder of who Bolívar was and the important role he played in Venezuela’s independence.

Hola, viajeros de todo el mundo.
Todo lo bueno llega a su fin, luego de dos meses de haber realizado nuestro último viaje largo por los estados Trujillo, Mérida y el Sur del Lago en el Zulia, hoy finalmente compartiré el cierre de esta mágica aventura, no podía ser en otro lugar tan significativo para nosotros los Venezolanos como lo es la Plaza Bolívar pero en ésta oportunidad en el pueblo de Bobures.
Esta Plaza Bolívar al igual que otras que se encuentran a nivel nacional es bastante sencilla y casi podría pasar desapercibida porque posee una par de enormes palmas en su entrada y otros árboles más pequeños alrededor de las mismas, sus pisos son de piedras de río blancas y negras, algunas personas se encontraban sentados disfrutando en algunas bancas sentados de la sombra y del servicio de WiFi gratuito.
En el centro de la plaza se encuentra lo que fue una fuente de agua ya que no se encuentra actualmente en funcionamiento, con un pedestal hecho con piedras en formas de ladrillos, en su parte superior esta el busto de Simón Bolívar en color beis que al parecer algunos ciudadanos le colocaron una pluma o algo similar como decoración en su cabeza, quiero pensar que fue así y no una falta de respeto hacia El Libertador.
Detrás de la estatua de Bolívar hay tres arcos grandes dentro de una estructura rectangular compuesta en parte de ladrillos rojos, me gusta mucho que éstos conducen directamente a la orilla de la playa y al muelle.
Cada Plaza Bolívar aguarda parte de historia con ella, es una lástima que esta no lleve la fecha en la que fue construida o ignagurada, pero siempre es bueno saber que forma parte del disfrute de todos las personas que viven en este pueblo y como recordatorio de quién fue Bolívar y el papel importante que tuvo en la Independencia de Venezuela.

Está muy bonita esa Plaza Bolívar , me gustaron mucho los arcos de ladrillos y ese detalle espectacular de que al fondo se vea la playa. Estoy segura de que si la fuente estuviese funcionando, se vería muchísimo más hermosa de lo que ya es. ¡Bellas fotografías!
