Travel Journal: Santander (Spain) – Sunny day at the Atlantic Ocean!
The next day, we set off on a day trip to Santander. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and it didn't take long before we were working up a sweat. After finally finding a parking spot, we took a stroll through the city before lunch.
For lunch, we had reserved a table at Bodega del Riojano. The restaurant offered a unique and authentic atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious. It's another place we can wholeheartedly recommend!
After lunch, we wanted to make the most of the wonderful weather while visiting another local landmark. We drove to the Palacio de la Magdalena and enjoyed a walk through the seaside park surrounding the palace. By the end of it, we were just about ready to get sunstroke!
Afterwards, we headed back to Bilbao—once we had finally found our car again. Somehow, we had ended up in the wrong underground parking garage at first.
To wrap up the day, we enjoyed a shisha and a few cocktails back in Bilbao.
The following morning, we grabbed some breakfast before it was, unfortunately, time to begin our journey home. Our next stop was going to be Bordeaux.
