Travel Journal: La Rochelle & Biarritz (France) – Next stops in France
The very next day, we continued our journey from Reims to La Rochelle on the Atlantic coast. This meant another 600 kilometers on the road before we arrived at our next Airbnb in the afternoon.
The Airbnb was significantly smaller than it appeared in the listing photos. In fact, renting this accommodation to two people is almost outrageous, which is why I won’t be sharing the link to it.
La Rochelle was only intended as a short stopover since we wanted to spend more time in Spain. Nevertheless, it was wonderful to finally be by the sea and enjoy a beer by the water. During a walk through the city, we once again collected plenty of great impressions.
For dinner, we visited a restaurant called GINGER, and the French cuisine certainly did not disappoint us. We treated ourselves to a delicious three-course meal! The restaurant comes highly recommended if you ever find yourself in La Rochelle.
Afterwards, we returned to our accommodation. A road trip is definitely more exhausting than you might imagine.
The next morning, we continued to Biarritz for another stop along the way, covering around 380 kilometers. Under clear blue skies, we enjoyed the wild and windy Atlantic Ocean. We spent some time strolling through the town and stopping for a coffee.
