Get away to Playa San Luis

Cumaná is the city where I was born, grew up, and have lived my entire life, and it is the capital of the Sucre state, a state of Venezuela that has the Caribbean Sea to the north. Cumaná is bordered by different beaches, but the largest in extension is Playa San Luis, with more than 1500 meters, which is located on Av. Universidad, right in front of the University where I work. This is the place where stress surrenders to the waves.

To get to San Luis, I took a public transport van from the city's overpass. The fare is 100 bolivars, which would be about $0.20. We got on the back, and although the day was a bit cloudy, many people had the same plan as us: going to the beach.

Since we got off before our destination, we started walking on the wet sand of the beach, which is very healthy. I have to confess that I liked seeing many canopies, food and drink stalls, and especially, tavern-type places where you can dance, eat, drink, and have a fun night. Pleasantly, I noticed that there is a lot of tourist activity throughout the area.

Playa San Luis is one of the places that, from a tourist perspective, has much to offer, and it is gratifying to see how the private sector and the government have come together to revive this area, which is destined to be the blue that anyone needs to break away from the routine.
