I took advantage of the fact that I am in other latitudes, specifically in the state of Barinas, about 400 kilometers from the city where I live, to continue what I call a “Christmas light hunt” through different public spaces or common areas. I don't know if it's the same in your country, but at least here I've noticed that the magic of Christmas has a powerful impact every time the season arrives. It's easy to find a place or establishment decorated with Christmas lights anywhere; this time, I visited El Estudiante Square. This is an iconic place in the city of Barinas that is usually crowded, as it is located in a very commercial and central area.

Obviously, it is at night when you can really appreciate the Christmas lights. So, after a long day, I decided to go out and wander around the city looking for these places. In El Estudiante Square, I saw a wide variety of Christmas decorations and shapes in which LED lights were the stars of the show and did a great job. In addition to the traditional lights, which, for the most part, surrounded practically all the trees in the square to give that distinctive and interesting Christmas touch.

This isn't a very large square, nor does it have any striking infrastructure, but I must say that it was greatly enhanced by the Christmas atmosphere. Although there weren't many people, there was a festive mood: a few street vendors, people dressed up as Santa Claus to entertain the children, and, in general, an atmosphere very conducive to the approaching Christmas Eve. So, beyond taking these photos that I am sharing with you today, I walked through the square with my closest family members. We sat on some benches to get some fresh air, talk, laugh, and enjoy the surroundings.

There is no doubt that Christmas is a time when, in some way, energy and cordiality are renewed; that was precisely what we wanted to take advantage of. As I mentioned, I am far from home visiting my sister, and in that sense, I have planned some very interesting trips that I will, of course, share with this community. See you soon. Have a great day!

Here in my neighborhood, we are far from feeling that Christmas spirit 😂 You don't see any of that around here, and it's a little sad haha At night is when you feel the Christmas magic the most, seeing those beautiful lights and decorations shining in the darkness. How beautiful! 😍

A similar “Christmas light hunt” also here in my city (Pistoia, Italy). Giant Christtmas balls, stars and others in different corners and squares. 😊
