Vilovo Ponds

I know it's nicer here any time of year except winter. There's a lot more greenery
The snow has melted but it's cold again, a cold wind.
Since it's a public holiday here, we took advantage of the time to take a little walk.

We dressed warmly, but here in the plains the wind blows even to the bones.

The day is cloudy, with occasional intervals of sunshine, when the sun manages to break through the clouds.This part is slightly landscaped and arranged for a picnic area.

There are two ponds here and the main road runs between them. Or maybe the road divided them, I'm not sure.

The second pond is on the other side of the road. Next to it there is a part of the road that is not used. A new section has been built. This part was too dangerous for drivers.

This part of the road has been abandoned for over 30 years. So nature took its toll.

There are many pomegranates and thorn trees.

We then got off the road and continued our journey to the nearby canal. This small canal belongs to the network of the much larger Danube-Tisa-Danube canal.

When we reached the canal, we decided to turn back, because we were all pretty cold :)
