Salzburg Fortress Wheinachtsmarkt Deu/Eng

Hallo liebe Community,
wir folgten also dem Schild und kamen in den großen Innenhof der Festung. Hier bot sich uns ein wahrlich prachtvoller Ausblick. Die Gebäude waren in vielen Farben angestrahlt und im gesamten Innenhof ware ein wunderschöner Weihnachtsmarkt aufgebaut.

Die Buden waren festlich geschmückt und es gab Glühwein, Waffeln, heißen Met und allerlei Handwerkskunst zu erstehen. Es waren gar nicht mal so viele Besucher hier, so dass sich alles etwas verlief und genügend Platz war einmal im Kreis zu schlendern. Dazu spielte weihnachtliche Musik aus den Lautsprechern. Von hier ging es auch nochmals auf einen kleinen Außenbereich, von dem man wieder einen herrlichen Blick auf Salzburg hatte. Eine wahre Pracht Salzburg bei Nacht mit dem Schnee auf den Bergen ringsum. Als wir dann wieder im Burghof auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt waren und eine Glühwein tranken, kamen plötzlich vier Trompetenspieler und bauten sich vor dem Brunnen auf.

So konnten wir ihren sehr schönen Liedern lauschen, während wir unseren Glühwein tranken. Eine tolle besinnliche Stimmung die uns den Abend abrundete. Da wir aber noch weiter die Altstadt erkunden wollten, suchten wir den Weg zurück zur Zahnradbahn, was gar nicht so einfach war, da es hier viele kleine Gassen und Wege in der Burg gab und wir das ein oder andere mal falsch abbogen. Zu guter Letzt fanden wir aber noch die Abfahrtsstation und hatten glücklicherweise keine Wartezeit. Mit einem letzten Blick auf das winterliche Salzburg fuhren wir wieder hinab und zogen weiter durch die Altstadt.

Hello dear community,
So we followed the sign and came into the large inner courtyard of the fortress. Here we were presented with a truly magnificent view. The buildings were illuminated in many colors and there was a beautiful Christmas market set up throughout the courtyard.

The stalls were festively decorated and there was mulled wine, waffles, hot mead and all sorts of handicrafts for sale. There weren't that many visitors here, so everything got a bit lost and there was enough space to stroll around in circles. Christmas music played from the speakers. From here we went again to a small outdoor area, from which we again had a wonderful view of Salzburg. A true splendor of Salzburg at night with the snow on the mountains all around. When we were back in the castle courtyard at the Christmas market and drinking mulled wine, four trumpet players suddenly came and stood in front of the fountain.

So we were able to listen to their beautiful songs while we drank our mulled wine. A great contemplative atmosphere that rounded off our evening. Since we wanted to explore the old town even further, we looked for the way back to the cog railway, which wasn't that easy as there were many small alleys and paths in the castle and we took a wrong turn every now and then. Last but not least, we found the departure station and luckily didn't have to wait. With one last look at wintry Salzburg, we drove back down and continued through the old town.
