Sometimes, what you need in life is a little trip with friends to reset from the rush of everyday routine. Now that all of my friends and I have steady jobs, our schedules can be complicated, but we never miss the chance to go on a small getaway. We don’t need to travel far to have a good time because we enjoy ourselves wherever we are, but if we can make it to a great destination, even better. That’s why we chose the city of Colón in Entre Ríos province for a long weekend escape, and the hot springs became our favorite place to relax and unwind 😃.

A veces lo que se necesita en la vida es un pequeño viaje con amigas para reiniciarse de la apurada rutina. Ahora que todas mis amigas y yo tenemos nuestros trabajos fijos, tenemos horarios complicados, pero nunca perdemos la oportunidad de ir a hacer un pequeño paseo. No nos hace falta ir tan lejos para tener un buen momento, ya que nosotras la pasamos bien en cualquier lugar, pero si podemos llegar a un lugar genial, mejor. Fue por eso que elegimos la ciudad de Colón en la provincia de Entre Ríos para ir a hacer una escapada de fin de semana largo, y las termas fue nuestro lugar predilecto de descanso 😃.

The city of Colón is located about 360 kilometers from my home, so getting there by bus took us around five hours. What I like about this place is that it’s small and peaceful, situated on the banks of the Uruguay River. I had already visited the city before, but my friends hadn’t, so it became the destination we chose to celebrate one of their birthdays. While there are several things to do there, the main attraction is its large thermal park.

La ciudad de Colón se encuentra a unos 360 km de casa, por lo que llegar ahí en micro nos tomó unas 5 horas. Lo que me gusta de este lugar es que es pequeño y tranquilo, ubicado a orillas del río Uruguay. Yo ya conocía esta ciudad, pero mis amigas no, así que fue el destino que elegimos para ir a festejar el cumpleaños de una de ellas. Si bien hay varias cosas para hacer en este lugar, el atractivo principal es su gran parque termal.

My friends and I rented an apartment right across from the park, so it took us less than two minutes to get there. The three-day holiday weekend in October was forecast to have great weather, and Sunday was the day we chose to visit. One of the best things about this thermal park is that visitors are allowed to bring their own food and drinks, making it perfect for spending the entire day having a picnic. Admission cost us around $10, which gave us access to all of the pools and walking trails throughout the park.

Mis amigas y yo alquilamos un departamento justo frente al parque, por lo que llegar hasta él nos tomaba menos de 2 minutos. El fin de semana largo de tres días en octubre tenía pronosticado un buen clima, siendo el domingo el día elegido para ir. Lo bueno de este parque es que te dejan entrar con comida y bebida, perfecto para ir a pasar todo el día haciendo picnic. La entrada nos costó unos $10 con los que podías acceder a todas las piletas y senderos para recorrer el parque.

The park, commonly known as "Las Termas de Colón," features both cold and hot water pools, allowing visitors to create their own circuit according to their preferences. It is generally recommended to start with the colder pools and gradually move to warmer temperatures. The coldest pool includes water slides that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, adding a bit of excitement and adrenaline to the experience.

El parque, normalmente llamado "Las Termas de Colón", cuenta con piletas de agua fría y caliente, en las que se puede ir haciendo un circuito de acuerdo a tu gusto. Lo recomendable es empezar por las de agua fría e ir aumentando la temperatura cada vez. La pileta con agua más fría cuenta con toboganes que pueden usar niños y adultos, agregando un poco de adrenalina a la estadía.

But if you prefer a peaceful experience from beginning to end, there are quieter pools where children are not allowed. Throughout the park, there are around eight pools to enjoy, some featuring hydrotherapy jets and even lounge chairs where visitors can sit back and relax. The outdoor pools also hosted aquagym classes, which, with their upbeat atmosphere and music, helped make the afternoon even more enjoyable. The park truly offers something for every taste and preference.

Pero si deseas que tu estancia sea tranquila de principio a fin, hay piletas más relajadas en donde incluso no se permiten niños. En todo el parque hay unas 8 piletas que pueden disfrutarse, algunas con chorros de agua de hidromasajes y hasta reposeras para sentarse a descansar. En las piletas del exterior también habían clases de aquagym, que con buena onda y música lograban alegrar la tarde. El parque ofrece experiencias para todos los gustos.

My friends and I spent the day doing a little bit of everything, but without a doubt, our favorite pool was the outdoor one with warm water. Since the day was quite hot, it was the perfect choice—not too cold and not too warm. We also brought our own picnic with leftovers from the previous night's meal, and we stayed until the park was almost closing. It was an amazing afternoon that gave us the chance to disconnect from our daily routines and simply enjoy the moment.

Mis amigas y yo pasamos el día haciendo un poco de cada cosa, pero sin dudas nuestra pileta preferida fue la del agua templada al aire libre. Como el día estaba caluroso, esta pileta era la adecuada para no pasar frío ni calor. También llevamos nuestro propio picnic con la comida que nos habría sobrado de la noche anterior, y nos quedamos hasta que casi cerró el parque. Fue una tarde increíble, que sirvió para desconectarnos de nuestra rutina diaria.

I really enjoyed visiting the Colón Hot Springs again after several years and creating new happy memories with my friends. Choosing this destination in the province of Entre Ríos for a long weekend getaway turned out to be a great decision, as we were able to reach a beautiful place without traveling too far. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone looking to relax and spend an enjoyable afternoon doing something different. My friend was very happy with her birthday celebration, and seeing her enjoy it so much filled all of us with satisfaction 💕.

Me gustó mucho haber visitado las Termas de Colón después de unos cuantos años y tener nuevos buenos recuerdos con mis amigas. Elegir este destino de la ciudad de Entre Ríos para pasar un fin de semana largo fue una muy buena opción, porque pudimos llegar rápido a un lugar hermoso. Recomiendo este parque como opción para relajarse y pasar una buena tarde haciendo algo diferente. Mi amiga estuvo muy feliz por el festejo de su cumpleaños, y eso nos llenó de satisfacción a todas 💕.
